My husband and I walk this trail many times a week. It is well maintained, as well as offering gorgeous views of nature. Don’t skip this when you’re next in Rockford, Michigan!

This is a great resource - traffic-free place to walk or exercise - either leisurely or fitness. It is relatively flat with gentle rises. The area up to Cedar Springs is paved but some areas need repairs. It is scenic and connects several small towns if you need to stop for refreshments. I did not see any bike repair stands (e.g., air pump, etc.) near trail heads.

I’m here in Rockford for the summer, l purchased a terra trike and have been riding the White pine Trail every day.ive seen several crews working the trail. It runs along the Rouge River north out of Rockford, very scenic.

As you get to downtown Rockford there is a cute dog park right along the river not far from the trail head. Nice large dog park that is fenced in with both space for little and big dogs alike! No parking lot, but is just a short walk from downtown. Peaceful next to the river.

White Pine Trail is well maintained and well marked. It's the perfect place for a beautiful, scenic run. The trail passes through the city of Rockford, so you could stop for a look at the Dam or a bite to eat.

This is a true gem. Whether walking, running or riding a bicycle it is a cool trail. You probably want to avoid weekends and holidays as the trail gets a little busy, especially around points of attraction.

I stayed at an AirBNB room in downtown Rockford, which had this White Pine trail just behind the property, allowing me to walk on the trail, and bike on the trail. It's a blacktop trail which hugs the Rogue River from downtown Rockford both north and south. Very peaceful trail.

Always a great place to go for a bike ride or just walk with friends. The only reason it's not a 5 is that there are a few areas that are a little rough and need repair.

This trail is over an old rail road track pathway, so there are very few hills. Also, this goes a very long ways from Grand Rapids all the wa6 to Cadillac. We have ridden it from GR to Cedar springs, and love this path. Great views, woods, river, and lots of little resting spots, benches, and even picnik areas.

Four of us (casual trail riders; up to 45 miles per day) will be staying next week in Walker, northwest of Grand Rapids for two days. Which trails would people recommend we try to ride? I'm looking at part of perhaps two of these three (limited by miles we can ride round trip): Musketawa, White Pine and Heartland. C Bowers, Naperville IL
