This field of plants that trap and digest insects was unreal. The Darlingtonia californica, found in Southern Oregon as well as California, is also known as Pitcher Plant or cobra-lilly. They really do look like cobras. The Natural Site is so close to HWY 101 that we could see the cars passing. It made me think that perhaps the plants had been saved through foresight when building the highway and were now protected for the public to view. The trail and boardwalk are easily maneuvered and it's a short walk. The boardwalk let us get up close to the field. Seeing so many of them was an experience not to be missed. The site is well marked, and there is a parking lot and rest rooms. There is no admission charge.

Easiest trail ever, and shortest. The appeal is the foliage! We had to turn around because we missed the sign the first time, but it's well worth the brief time it takes to follow the boardwalk! I wish we could have been there during the time that the plants bloom! The plants look like Venus flycatchers!

Beautiful. Simply amazing. There's a wooden walkway around a small garden area surrounded by the carnivorous plants. We have carnys at home so this was a very planned and very special stop.

It’s free and right along the highway 101. There is a parking lot and a restroom. The short boardwalk circling the area. This was my first seeing a plant like that. The visit was short and interesting.

This is a nicely maintained and interesting garden to visit. It's free, and a quick stop. You can walk your dogs there.

Easy access from free parking and entry.

Short walk through heavenly wooded area to a nearby bog to view the naturally occurring carnivorous plants in the bog.

The story about the insect eating plants is fascinating.

Worth the time to check it out. Easy to locate at its marked on hwy 101.

This is just a tiny park with a wooden walkway that goes in a short circle through a patch of carnivorous pitcher plants. Only one like it i have ever seen. There is a small parking lot and a restroom too, it is right by the side of the highway, will take 5 minutes and you'll get some great pictures.

Easy off the road and walk down a wooden path to get the pitcher plants. Enjoyed very much seeing these odd plants.

Signage is good from Hwy 101. The parking lot is large. A larger RV could park there.
There were only 2 other people visiting while we were there. There's bathrooms.
Lots of signs & information boards.
The trail is very short, flat & boardwalk all the way. The plants are very nice & interesting, but it will only take you a short amount of time to see them.
