This is a fairly good car-camping campground. There are some spots for small RVs. We noticed some camp sites (~ #1-12) were almost directly on the road with little shelter from the road. Camp sites #14-18 had little trails off the road to give some quietness and privacy, which was nicer. Potable water is abundant. The flush toilet facilities are good and kept relatively clean; however, they provide NO SOAP, so bring your own. Instead, they provide hand dryers. They sell firewood for $6/bundle; C&K Market in Yachats sells it for $5/bundle. Unfortunately, there seems to be little enforcement on quiet hours (10pm), as our next-door tent neighbors were quite loud until 2am at nights. The camp ground is close to lots of beautiful nearby coastal sites and hiking trails.

Reserved a campsite, and it showed as the last tent site available. We arrived and the campground was almost empty. Our space was just a mudhole with no space to set a small 9x7 tent, finally had to set it up on a small patch of grass within 3 feet of the road. No showers but do have flush toilets, very spartan. For my money, Oregon State Park campgrounds are a much better value. I've learned my lesson.

I read the reviews and took my chances. I should have known better. The sites are shallow and small. The tent sites are not deep enough to have any privacy. The fire pits are next to the creek and not close enough to where one might place a tent. No showers, but there are flush toilets. The day use area is fine and the visitor center is alright. There are plenty of trails in the area to hike and plenty of beach to roam. This is a US Forest site and not a state campground. I will always choose a state campground from now on. The location is pretty and it is close to Yachats if you need something, but if you want a nice place to camp go a little further south and stay at Carl G. Washburne or drive a little farther north and stay at South Beach.
