We loved learning about Hurling and its impact on communities throughout Ireland. It was very fun getting on the field and playing, and I would definitely recommend.

What a fun and different experience! One of the top 3 things we did on a recent trip. James was so personable and gave a great introduction to the sport. He found a way for everyone to participate, no matter your age or physical limitations. We want to take our kids now and are planning to do so in the future. Well worth your time.

This was one of our favorite experiences in Ireland. We learned alot of history of the sport and did alot of activity to practice the sport. James was amazing and we could be as active or as passive as we could handle. Amazing experience. You should not miss this.

I went with my 15 year old son. He is a very active athlete in the US and figured that he would enjoy himself. Little did I think that I would enjoy it as well! A wonderful time to be active and play something that I have never done before. James was a great teacher. He even had a young man, age 9, who was practicing on the pitch to assist and show us how it was to be played- Cannot recommend enough for 90 minutes of fun!

The day was drizzling rain so not a pleasant day to spend outside. However James our instructor was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Our party of 3 were the only ones in the group but new nothing about hurling. After the session James even offered to drop us off at our hotel Great experience I would reommend it for anyone regardless of age.

This made our visit to Kilkenny! So glad we found this hurling experience for my sports loving husband and 22 year old son! They had the best time and I must say I enjoyed myself a lot too. The guide does a great job at getting you involved with hitting the slither (ball) with the hurl on an actual hurling field, and makes it fun with different skills and games!
We did the experience at the O'Loughlin Gaels G.A.A. Club (he has another location too), which lucky for us was right by a Hurling Stadium! At the suggestion of the guide, we made the short walk over and watched a real hurling match right after our experience was done. It may depend on who is playing, but tickets were just 5 euros for students and 10 euros for adults. It was fun to see what we had just learned played by some very skilled teams!
Two other hurling related things we found to do in Kilkenny was to visit the Hurling Statue and get some great photos there, and to visit a store called Kilkenny Crafts that sold various size hurls and balls. Since we didn't have big enough suitcases for full size hurls as we would have liked, we were able to buy a ball and mini hurl as a souvenir from our great day of hurling! And of course we have videos and photos from the hurling experience as well, some of which the guide takes for you!

This is a unique experience that you cannot miss while in Ireland! Kilkenny is the heart of Ireland's national sport. James is very passionate about hurling and his brother was a nationally-known hurler. James is very proud of his brother, heritage, and hurling and it really shows during the hurling lesson. Get to know the history of hurling with an informative PowerPoint presentation followed by a great lesson. James was very patient and made the lesson fun. Highly recommend!

This was an absolutely fantastic time. Small group with our family and one other. We learned all about hurling, went through drills and even took some shots on goal. Brian was knowledgeable and so good with everyone in the group. Took time to answer questions and made sure everyone was doing well. Our 8-yr old son just loved this experience. We laughed a ton and enjoyed every minute of this as a family. Would strongly recommend for anyone looking for a uniquely Irish experience from one of the nicest people we met on our trip!

James, Jake, and Charlie were the best and most patient teachers. They made the experience so enjoyable and we had lots of fun playing with the other couples and families. Great activity to do if you are looking for something unique and exciting.
