We have just returned from this fantastic trip, where we were introduced to the culture of Sami people, sharing their meals, understanding how the seasons (they count eight in a year) impact their lives, and for a couple of nights staying in a lavvu (the tent in Wild Sweden's image for this holiday). We saw moose and interacted with reindeer who were being nursed back to health by Anna after illness or injury, and rose a dog sled. The three nights in a guest house in Jokkmokk were very comfortable and great food. Although Sapmi is not teeming with wild birds at this time of year we had a couple of opportunities to watch the willow tours, Siberian Jays and bull finches (there are crested and Siberian toys around too). Our guide Christian was excellent, a skilled tour guide with a strong sense of humour. Wild Sweden's organisation was perfect (thanks Gina). But the star of the show were the northern lights, stunning.

Wild Sweden has a real winner in their Northern Lights and wildlife in Swedish Lapland tour. Loved the fact that there is a max of seven guests. The Northern Lights, moose, and reindeer were all seen on our trip. The accommodations were great, for such a remote area. The guides, hosts, and hostesses, were wonderful, friendly, and so warm for such a cold environment. Don’t let the cold frighten you though. I highly recommend renting the bibs, coats, shoes, and mittens. We did, and were never cold when outdoors. We had an exceptional trip, and learned so much about the Sami people and Sámpi area. Don’t miss this tour!

I joined this tour organized by Wild Sweden with 7 others during early January 2023. The trip delivered everything as promised. Our guide Christian was knowledgeable and helpful, and knew all the best spots to look for moose and reindeer. Highlights of a memorable trip were an evening in Anna's (reindeer herder) lavvu on the outskirts of Jokkmokk and then two nights at Lennart's Sapmi nature camp in Nabreluokta. At their head office, Gina was so helpful and easy to communicate with; she was also tremendously patient with several electronic glitches on my side. Bookings went through very smoothly, the instructions (what to do, what to pack etc) were extremely useful. I had a great time and would highly recommend booking an adventure with Wild Sweden.

A spectacular trip. Wild Sweden tours are authentic and thoughtful curations to showcase some of the amazing nature in Sweden for eco-conscious tourists who enjoy being in community with other likeminded explorers. This was a perfect way to bring in 2020 with a small group of great people, experiencing awesome adventures of fires in the middle of a frozen lake, camping in the forest, meeting local Sámis and learning about their heritage, husky sledding, snowshoe hiking and wildlife spotting - to name a few. Marcus and his team are excellent and create space for people to enjoy the wonder of Lapland. Highly recommend.

It's an unforgettable experience! Wild Sweden (WS) might not be a big tourism company, but the authentic tour in small group is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm satisfied with all the arrangements and details, I do feel WS putting a lot of efforts to plan their tours and selectively pick the partners to work with. Our guide, owners/hosts of the places we visits, everyone love the land and proud of their cultural, through their own unique ways to share with us. I have opened my eyes and my mind, enjoying the beautiful scenery, meeting interesting people, trying activities for the first time, learned Sami cultural.... I will be back! I can't wait to experience the place in different seasons or with different tours.

I couldn't have asked for anything more from this tour. The combination of the guides, the activities, the accommodation, and the food made this such a memorable experience. I couldn't recommend Wild Sweden more highly. I'll definitely be back again in future.

Wild Sweden went out of their way in every aspect to tailor the tour to our interests. We had an amazing time and made memories that will last a lifetime. We left the Arctic not with just having met amazing tour guides Christian, Anna, Matti, Stina and Lennart, but having made friends that we are excited to come back and see and left us really looking forward to another Wild Sweden tour. We saw northern lights, reindeer, moose and had wild birds feeding from our hands.

Three tours in eighteen months, just back some days ago and already longing for the next trip… yes, I’m addicted to WildSweden.
As a result, I dream in (broken) Swedish, get wider pupils by watching any snowy documentary and have an empty account… I can’t change it.
That’ how it all started, with the summer day tours: watching lazy moose or busy beavers, or strolling through old forests covered in moss. Then I thought let’s try the night tour, sleeping in a tent and listening to the wolves howling in the darkest woods at midnight…
So far so good. Thing is, I've always been fascinated by wolves. Why actually do a day tour when I could stay longer? Winter was coming, they had this 5-days tour in Skinnskatteberg and Dalarna, with searching for animal tracks in snow (and homemade food in a lovely guesthouse and enjoying the spa in the wonderful Green Hotel). I signed for it.
Unfortunately for me, this was really great…
Right. One should think I am done with the whole list. There were only the canoe and the bear tours left. I am not crazy about bears anyway. Well, I love canoeing though…
This was my state of mind when it happened: WildSweden launched Winter tours in Lapland. That was it with the healing process. I had to try that too. I just caught the last free place on the March 2018 trip.
And here we are again: this was a fantastic experience! Lots of snow, lots of fun; wonderful people and magical places.
That’s the problem with these guys. They always get better.
Great tours, perfectly organised. Amazing remote nature. Tasty local food. A very nice mix of travel companions. And a fantastic team of guides, highly professional, cheerful, responsible.
Well, I didn’t get to see a wolf or the Northern Lights yet. I guess I could go again...

This was a much anticipated trip - a 50th birthday adventure - by two families with kids aged between 7 and 14. Three nights at a mountain lodge (think ski chalets around a communal lodge) where we kept busy outdoors with cross country skiing (a revelation), snow-shoeing, ice-fishing (successfully!), skidoo and dog-sledging expeditions, ice-cave making, traditional Swedish horse carving, moose and reindeer watching (and eating!) and lots of snow. The most comfortable night was to follow in heated Sami tents with Lennart whose ancestors rose to the challenge and gave us the best display of Northern Lights we could have wished for. We had travelled with Wild Sweden before so expectations were high but once again Marcus created something truly magical for us and in doing so we have collected many previous family memories. Thank you Marcus.

I can just agree, what a trip we had together! Thank you so much Polly. And thank you for allowing me to bring my daughter along as a co-guide. I love how you came with high expectations and left with a smile and many memories. Me and my daughter hope to see you again some day soon.
