We went pony trekking with Ray and Lisa yesterday morning around the Bishoplands estate through the wide fields, hills and paddled through the lake.
Our host, Ray is not just full of riding advice but delves into the history of the estate where the Wolfe family resided from the 1720's. Wolfe Tone himself is said to have been born in the main house.
While Ray dispensed the knowledge at the front, Lisa remained on hand at the back to give detailed riding tips out to us earnest learners. Well recommended as a morning out or as a present voucher!

My daughter & I visited on the coldest temperatures Ireland had in years!
Despite the cold weather, our trip went above & beyond!
They warmed us up by provided extra clothing ( gloves, chaps & jackets) made us laugh almost every minute & went out of their way to make the best of the frigid weather!
We are equestrians & felt they did a great job at assessing out riding level & let us just enjoy our ride.
Every vacation I go on when I travel, I book a trail ride & this by far was the most genuine, beautiful & fun trail ride I've ever experienced
Ray & Lisa seemed like old friends/family.
Their love for the horses & land shine bright !
They were all so fun to be with!
Best 2 hours of my trip to Ireland!
Ty for the amazing memory!!

This is the second time I've been and it won't be the last. I highly recommend this trek for both visitors and locals. Ray is a great guide and hilarious! The horses are so relaxed and friendly and ready to go when you want to. The scenery is fab and I loved the walk through the lake. Do it!

It was a very good experience ☺️. We had a great time with my friends. If you have never done a horse, go ahead. The staff is very nice and warm.

Beautiful Trek around Wicklow. Gorgeous countryside and a very friend and knowledgeable tour host. Horses were bigger than expected, but very friendly and easy to ride.

Both of us had different experience levels but Ray and his team were super accommodating to us. Plenty of laughter and banter along the trip with amazing scenery. Highly recommend to any experience level.

Such a fun experience in the beautiful Wicklow countryside. Ray was so funny and personable. The horses were well behaved and we loved every minute of our ride!

Fantastic trek over the mountains. Fabulous horses to suit all riding abilities and Ray accommodated different levels in the same group. The trek was great fun with plenty of time to chat. Nice places around to eat afterwards as it is close to Ballymore and Russborough House. Well worth the trip and great day out.

Great relaxed ride with two of my kids - 7 and 9 - beginner level. More advanced folks had a good opportunity to trot etc.
Very friendly staff, felt very safe and confident.
I also have a gammy leg so was well-catered for with slightly longer stirrups.
Great views, well-behaved horses, good times!

Hello,
I well be in Co. Wicklow for a holiday next week with my two kids (10 and 6 years old). I do horse-riding (have done it since my childhood, not professionally though). My children have been on a horse several times, but don't know how to ride themselves.
When trying to check for availability, I could not tick the box for children 6-7 years old, does that mean there are not riding tours available for children that age?

Hi, I'm a mother of 3 girls 9,12,14 who have never ridden and I am able to ride. Can the trek cater for the children too.
