From the first time I contacted them to our drop off at the airport at the end of our tour everything was absolutely the best, also you can rest comfortably knowing your tour guide is actually from Hawaii and has the knowledge and the reverence for these sacred and beautiful places! If we are ever lucky enough to visit Hawaii again we would definitely use them again!

Aloha Kelly. It was great having you folks on tour. It was a little cold and wet but it turned out great. I'm glad we could accommodate the airport/flights, as we know island hoping can be difficult with timing. I sure hope you folks come back and explore more of the Big Island (Hawaii island). This tour was amazing. We were from the Norwegian Cruise ship and their tours were mega expensive so we decided to take up the offer of a free trip to the Rainbow waterfall from the tour guides on the dock. On the way back we were offered a tour up to the Volcano National park for $65 each which was half the price of the cruise ship. We don't carry cash so paid by card and James our guide was brilliant. Would highly recommend if you don't want to be ripped off by the cruise ship high prices.

Malahini Tours is operated by husband and wife, Dan & Leolani, and they went above and beyond our expectations. They took us on a tour of the following attractions:
- Liliuokalani Gardens
- Statue of King Kamehameha the Great (Wailoa River State Recreation Area)
- Rainbow Falls Lookout
- Hilo Coffee Mill
- Volcanoes National Park (Kilauea)
- Akatsuka Orchids Garden
- Mauna Loa (macadamia nut factory)
- Black sand beach (Richardson Ocean Park)
Dan's comments and information given during the tour is phenomenal. This tour is well worth it and I highly recommend them.

Will you pick up at cruise port? What is the starting time of the excursion?

My husband uses a walker and needs mostly paved or hard-packed dirt trails to walk. I notice this tour doesn't stop long at each place. Does that mean that it's mostly a driving tour and if we depart the bus, the walking is minimal?

Our cruise ship is not due in until 9:30 on 18th September, which puts this tour out of the equation, unless the timing is more flexible for passengers.

Just a heads up when you decide to head to Hawaii, give us a call in advance. We can accommodate flexibility as we do a lot of work with cruise ship passengers and know the ship porting schedules ahead of time. We also provided tours on a smaller group scale so we can accommodate stop times.
