Holy temple with ancient importance
dic. de 2019
Very holy place for the Hindus and known as dakshin Kashi. It is considered important for after death procession. In the temple all the three gods brahma Vishnu Mahesh are there with mata patvati. First took the darshan of adjacent kalbhairav and then proceeded towards the harihareshwar old temple with wooden pillars. Most important thing is the pradakshina route which starts from the back side of the temple and slowly climbs to about 10-15 mins to the top of the hill. The view from here is amazing.

The place is very holy to Hindus n known as dakshin Kashi..imp for after death procession..has interesting temple of harihareshwar where all the three gods brahma Vishnu Mahesh r there together with mata patvati..first take the darshan of adjacent kalbhairav n then proceed to the harihareshwar..old temple with some wooden pillars.. thankfully no modernization except CCTV ..most interesting thing is the pradakshina route which starts from the back side of the temple and slowly climbs to about 10-15 mins ( easily manageable) to the top of the hill ..the view from here is amazing then the steps descend to Shukla teerth from this point you have to move towards the right one the Rocky sea shore back to the temple (other side) ..the full pradakshina takes about an hour ..u can't stop admiring nature's beauty n clicking pics..many intesting Rock formations.. please check Madhav Upadhye harihareshwar on you tube for more details.. recommended during low tide ..avoid after sunset..

Beautiful historical temple
nov. de 2018 • Solitario
Visited this temple after almost 20 years. Still the same serene, calm and beautiful place.
While the temple is well maintained, it was sad to see sorry state of the stair case for access to the pradakshina behind the temple. Railing was either rusty/worn out or simply missing.
On the similar lines, it was very obvious that the temple need additional funds for maintenance going by the notice hanging in the premises. Felt really sad for a patron daity of Peshwas. Hoping this will change soon.

Beautiful temple by the beach !!
may. de 2018 • Pareja
The Lord Shive temple or popularly known as the Harihareshwar temple, is known as Dakshin kashi and it has Lord Kalbhirav and Lord Shiva temple. The temple is located very close to the beach and adjoining a hillock. The pradakshina marg is the highlight of the visit. It runs through the hillock, descends into the sea and completes with an encirclement of the temple. It is accessible only during low tide. So plan your visit accordingly.

Its a plain 200 metre walk from parking lot .Along with lord shiva temple there is a kal bhairav temple just adjacent to it .I observed queues of 15- 20 min each on weekend .The front will lead you to ash immersion ghat .The back has stairs will take you all the way to a site seeing place .On the approach you will find small restros .Vendors will always charge more than MRP on packaged water bottles

clean & un-crowded temple
ago. de 2017 • Amigos
Harihareshwar Temple is one temple that is pretty clean & un-crowded temple unlike most of the other temples that I have visited. The temple is on the beach of Harihareshwar & there are 3-5 steps that lead to the beach & this is a unique characteristic of the temple. The 3 daieties of the temple are Shiv, Vishnu & Brahma !!

Old temple with interesting parikrama
oct. de 2016 • Familia
The temple, built in old Konkan style architecture, is worth a visit. The parikrama that starts from behind the temple, ends up climbing up the hill behind the temple, and finally descends to rocky tidal pools that lead to the Harihareshwar beach. Visitors should be careful when descending as the steps are very slippery when wet. Some great views of the beach can be had as one ascends the hill.
