Short hike on a sunny fall day, definitely enjoyable. There is a lot of spectacular scenery in this part of Ontario, so this is probably not a “must see”, but I liked the walk, the falls were worth a look, and you can do it all in under 45 minutes round trip. The trail is mostly pretty good, a handy staircase to climb much of the one hill and well marked with red blazes. But, there is was section that is a bit rocky, another going up over some roots on a slope where you need to place your steps carefully and pay attention.

It is an approximate 700 m walk from hte free parking area. Near the falls it is a bit steep but that is not a long part of the distance. Due to the rocks and tree roots you should wear good shoes.

If Visiting in the summer or late fall, this waterfall is great. If your visiting in the winter or early spring. This is not the hike for you, During this time, the water is flooded over the path making it impossible to get to the end, and see the waterfall. During the summer is the best time to go, lovely trail, lovely waterfall! Definitely recommend viewing this!

My wife and I, accompanied by our two grown children, enjoyed a hike to the falls on a recent trip to Owen Sound. Quite the walking challenge to the falls, as the path is rocky and somewhat tricky to negotiate. There are two options: there is a steep staircase and a further hill to climb which eventually leads to a viewing area above the falls-this is very picturesque. The other option is to bypass the staircase and continue along the path which leads to the bottom of the falls. We chose the first option, which is somewhat arduous , but the views of the falls are worth it!. Enjoyable trek and nice area.

The hike in was not easy - not for the mobility impaired. I quit halfway through, my athletic husband went the rest of the way and returned with great photos. About 40 minutes round trip.

Was there in Jul with 2 small kids (2 and 5) and a 70 year old, and it was rainnng. It was really rough walk, with slippery road, trees, steep slopes. But it really worth it! the fall just amazing, this probably the best falls in the owen sound area, definitely worth a visit!

Lots of parking by the Tourist area where you can get on the trail to the falls. It is not a rugged walk but in season bring mosquito spray. You will walk along a brook until you reach the falls. It is in a wooden area and not cleared out, leaving the area mostly natural. I walked this using the Bruce Trail so after the falls it is a relatively remote trail and more rugged requiring good shoes etc.

Had some time to myself. Went for a road trip from Burlington (Toronto) to Owen Sound as I need to get close to the water. Enjoyed my breakfast at the mouth of the river going into the sound. Great view. Drew up out north of Owen Sound and came across sign for Indian Falls. I had just been raining so the creek was raging and was over-running at certain places, saw a trout jumping up stream. The whole area is very quaint and borderline idyllic. There is a slight climb up the bank support by simple but very useful stairs. Slippery at certain places due to the rain, but worth the climb up. The fails are quite the view because it literally looks like a huge Caterpillar has taken a huge chunk out of the landscape creating the quite rapid falls. Beautiful experience for a Sunday afternoon hick

Not much of a hike to get there (15 minutes if you're meandering). I came in fall, gorgeous colours but one part of the path was pretty rough. Seemed to be just due to the water levels.
10/10 waterfalls are super calming.

This is a real nice waterfall but I believe it would be best to come here in the summer. In the fall the pathway is really slippery and hard to get to the falls.
I only seen it from the top of the lookout point but it would be great if we could get closer to the fall below.
And I’m sure in the summer we could.
