Went to cafe before the ship tour. The cafe was disorganized. They thought out group was a different push us in to a run and started serving us scones and coffee. At the end inquired if we owe anything and where told it was covered. When got back on the bus we where told that the manager had us confused with another group and we need to 5 euros. What away to run a business, grab a group people give them food and drink they did ask for then charge them.
As a small businessman I understand mistakes but if my staff makes a error I eat the cost and not the customer

The location is ideal, with lots of parking. We pre-booked our tickets. The famine ship was fabulous and the whole family actually really enjoyed the trip.

My father and I stopped by to the cafe here today for breakfast and we were greeted by Ann who was just so welcoming and we were served by 2 others, a gentleman and a girl who were equally professional and friendly.
The food was top notch and we will certainly be back.
Kind regards,
Darragh

Very nice experience. Both children and parents loved it. The guide was good but the two ladies that were actresses were excellent. Great characters the made the ship come alive :)

The Dunbrody is an accurate replica of the ship that carried between 200 and 300 poor starving people across the Atlantic to search for a new life in the famine years. One can only imagine the horrible conditions below decks as the ship pitched about in heavy seas. People were allowed on deck once a day for about half an hour to cook food for that day, then had to return below decks. If the weather was rough the hatches were kept shut and the people were in darkness, sometimes for several days. In many ships sickness was rife and the death rate soared. No wonder these ships were often called "coffin ships".

An absolute joy for this tree loving family to experience this arboritum.I could have spent a week here exploring_ stunning !! Super playground and fun mini train ride for kids.We also had a very nice lunch and excellent coffee in the tearooms.JFK exhibit was interesting enough but only one room so about 20 minutes to see it.The magic is in walking around the parklands. The lady running the train station as well as the lady at the gate in were particularly charming .

Have visited here on a previous occasion. Still well worth the return visit The role players give an insight regarding the attitude of the well off towards the poor.
An exhibit like this puts everything in perspective, as there are so many people over the world on the move, in the hope of making a better life for themselves and their families. I recommend this exhibit to anyone.

It was fun to go aboard and be able to tour the ship. Very sad and moving to hear the tale of the potato famine and the immigrants stories. The Immigrant flame meant a lot to my husband and I as we are both immigrants to Canada. Well worth a visit.
