We went to the tea rooms as it was recommended. We had a lovely light lunch, staff were very good and attentive to our needs only problem was the coffee machine was playing up but all in all a lovely experience.
Plenty of parking.
I believe the tearoom is closing at the end of this month sooty to see it go.

After all the rave reviews, I expected something special. Perhaps the cakes are good, but the lunch wasn't even adequate. It began with the waitress spilling a glass of water across our table, then muttering something as she left, before reappearing with a cloth like a handkerchief with which she spread the water around, then left. I mopped up with tissues from my bag, which revealed how dirty the table was.
Even with Christmas specials, the menu was pathetic, like something from the 1960s. We ordered beans on toast and welsh rarebit - that was about as exciting as it got, with other choices along the lines of jacket potato with cheese. The beans came in a small ramekin, served with two slices of toast, halved, and wrapped butter, all crammed onto a side plate. There wasn't space to lay the toast flat and put the beans on top, but then there were so few beans it was a pointless exercise anyway. The welsh rarebit was actually tasty, but only one slice of toast served with a so-called salad, which was actually just a few leaves with a bit of bottled dressing flung haphazardly around. I think it cost £5.95. It wasn't exactly expensive, but appalling value - I'd rather have paid more to get an actual meal.
Although there is a wood-burning stove, it wasn't lit and the place was cold and uninviting, with a range of clocks all stopped at ten past ten (I think). I'd have found it useful to know the time.
As I say, perhaps the cakes are better, but i didn't see any, and i won't be returning to find out.

I’ve been here a number of times as I live locally and walk my dog nearby. The coffee is always good and the cakes are delicious ( haven’t tried them all!). The staff have always been very polite and efficient and I’ll keep going back. Can’t really comment on the interior as I always sit outside with the dog.

I was given a voucher for an Afternoon Tea for 2 people as a birthday present. We had booked (recommended at peak times) and were shown to a table with a proper tablecloth on it and bone China plates etc. The food was delicious and plentiful! There were finger sandwiches, cheese scones, 4 small pieces of cake each (who knew that Parsnip, Lime & Ginger could taste so good!?) and 2 fruit scones with Jam & Cream. We were so full that the fruit scones ended up coming home in a takeaway box!!
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. If you come in summer there is space outside to eat Al fresco.

A small rural tearoom close to The dingle. A good place to stop after walking the dog or an afternoon walk with friends. Plenty of outdoor tables in courtyard garden, a series of small rooms inside with variety of sized tables. Hot and cold food and beverages, freshly made food on the premises. Friendly ,polite staff with good knowledge of the menu.
A gift shop attached selling a wide range of products, preserves, ornaments, glassware etc

My family and friends arranged a wonderful afternoon and the tea rooms for my baby shower. It was the perfect location and was a beautiful day. I loved the layout, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone- the food was incredible and everyone had an amazing time.

Have been here numerous times with friends for catch-ups, coffee, afternoon tea and cakes!
The food is very tasty and the cakes are delicious. It's a really pretty place and everything is always fresh.
Definitely stop by if you're in the area..even if just for a cuppa on a sunny afternoon.
The small gift shop inside has lots to look at too!
