We don't know how the view is: the lighthouse is closed and there are touristic apartment inside. The bad thing is that touristic office attract you there and then you cannot enjoy the view. The place is not so attractive without this visit: you can avoid it and stop before kmof nothing.

walk from panther bay of about 15 minutes, nice mostly to stretch your legs, the lighthouse up close does not look so impressive, certainly you enjoy good views but if you have a good drone you enjoy an even better view.

On the island of Dugi Otok there is definitely better things to do than go to the lighthouse... We limited ourselves to the external view, but it already seemed like a waste of time.

Wonderfull place, positive energetical. Fantastic view. Relax zones. We have been just for one hour, but I wanted to be longer. The lighthouse wasn't opwn on that time, but we walk around and spent very good time.

The lighthouse is also used as a rental, people can stay there.
Near the lighthouse there are three swings.
If you are facing the lighthouse and make a right there is a beach and a camping site
If you make a left, there is a more secluded beach.

Landschaftlich interessant und diverse Fotomotive sind dort vorhanden. Beim Leuchtturm besteht die Möglichkeit eigenes, durch den Bewohner, angebautes Gemüse zu kaufen. Und das zu einem Preis, den wir in Deutschland suchen müssen. Direkt angrenzend befindet sich ein Campingplatz, zu dem ich jedoch nichts weiter sagen kann.
Die Strecke zum Leuchtturm ist zumindest vom Campingplatz Mandarino aus sehr gut mit dem Fahrrad zu fahren.

I was really suprised with friendship of lighthouse man. He is friendly, explain to us everything about his job, we bought some vegetable from him. Avoid Sakarun beach and visit Veli Rat Lighthouse.

Direkt beim Campingplatz. Sehr schöner Ort. Kann man nur empfehlen zusehen auf dieser tollen Insel Dugi Otok.

Probably the cleanest sea we have ever seen. Family friendly, with lots of shade for small children.

The lighthouse and surrounding is one of the most romantic and family places I've ever been. You can climb stairs of the lighthouse during the day and see beautiful views, but also come there just before the sunset and admire outstanding, one of the kind natural spectacle of water and light.
