We loved our kayaking and snorkeling trip in Half Sound! Our guides were very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the Green Turtles and Queen Conch. Snorkeling in the mangroves was fascinating! It was a beautiful day in Eleuthera, and a wonderful outing. Thank you!

We had a great time seeing Half Sound Bay (?) via Kayak/snorkel tour. Chris was so informative and was an excellent guide. He made sure we were comfortable with the equipment and spotted many turtles, fish, and conch.
After the tour, he recommended a great lunch spot and some other natural wonders to explore in the area.

I cannot say enough good things about our trip with Captain KK and First Mate Andy. It ended up be a rainy day, and KK made it the absolute best day anyway. My family and I loved our trip... awesome snorkeling, beautiful waters, such fun sites, delicious FRESH conch salad, and GREAT company with KK and Andy. They are simply the best!

Our extended family, including children aged 7 and 4, experienced the highlight of our week-long Eleuthera trip with Captain KK and deckhand Sean. From the moment they picked us up, these exceptional guides ensured we had an unforgettable adventure.

This was one of my best experiences EVER! My family and I went with Captain KK and his apprentice Sean (newly graduated from high school). We fed and swam with cute little pigs, we snorkeled numerous times, and watched the preparation of conch salad. Then we ate it for lunch! Cool and refreshing, the whole day was AMAZING! Now for the good part: I snorkeled for the first time! I am 74! I failed to snorkel in Hawaii when I was 27, but everyone was so WONDERFUL! KK treated me like a queen! My grandchildren, daughter, and son-in-law made memories that should last a lifetime (provided I and they are Alzheimer’s free). These are golden memories. Thank you, Eleuthera Outdoor Adventures for adding such joy to a whole family.

My husband and I did the paddle with pigs, swim with turtles tour. The staff at Eleuthera outdoor center were very professional and helpful when we were planning our trip, I had a number of questions and they got back to me promptly. There were 6 of us plus our guide KK on the tour, and we were all in kayaks. KK was really knowledgeable and friendly. Feeding the pigs was a huge highlight, and the water on the sound was super calm which made kayaking really easy. For the last part of the tour we all got out of the kayaks and snorkeled while drifting down a lazy river. Unfortunately the water was sort of murky and we really didn't see much while snorkeling, which was disappointing. But just drifting along in the water was delightful and so relaxing, and the views while we were kayaking were so peaceful, so we still had a good time and would do it again. Thank you KK!

Our experience with the Outdoor Center Turtle and snorkle tour was very disappointing. While our guide did his best to point out a few things for us to see, it amounted to a few baby green turtles, and the experience of feeding the pigs. It was a windy day so we staying within the bay and there was zero to see on the snorkel tour. While I realize they cannot control the envrironment, paying over $300 for a 2 1/2 hour kayak trip is ridiculous. If the weather does not allow for the full experience, at the very least the fee should be reduced and/or a partial refund applied. I do not recommend this business and will not hire them again.

We had a fabulous day with KK as our captain and guide. He took us to three snorkelling areas--the third was an amazing coral forest where we floated along in the current--gave us a great boat tour and then went after conch for our lunch. But while looking for conch, he spotted a huge spiny lobster, speared it, and then bagged two smaller ones; these he gave us (after he ad gutted them) and we had the big one for dinner. He then showed his artistry in chopping all the ingredients for the conch salad and in extracting and cleaning the conch. His salad was superior to one we'd had in a well known restaurant. Delicious!!
KK is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable. We're already talking about next time.

What a wonderful way to spend a day in Eleuthera - learning about the sea life, swimming with dolphins and turtles, eating conch ceviche made on the beach. And Captain KK was such a sweet, gracious host and guide. A highlight of our time on this magical island.

How long in advance do I need to book?

The online calendar is up to date, the owner Sharon is super responsive, and I was able to book something while I was there on the island. Due to wind, the 2nd outing I booked was postponed out a few days from the originally scheduled date...but Sharon let me know in a timely manner each time it got pushed out a day. Depending on the type of outing you are planning on doing, I would imagine you could look at the online booking calendar to determine availability. Sharon is also very on top of the weather there so she can advise on if weather would be prohibitive to a good experience.
