Great place to walk and enjoy every morning - EVEN IN WINTER!Forster/ Tuncurry is a great base to see so much of the coast and hinterland from.

Every morning we would walk the dog over the bridge to Forster from Tuncurry. Most days main beach was the halfway point where we would sit and have a delicious coffee at Beach Bums whilst watching people go swimming in the sea or just watch the world go by before walking the dog back over the bridge.

Brilliant beach, walking distance from the centre of town lots of parking and the sea pool is excellent.

The beach only achieved three because it was a long beach on the ocean but frankly it was untidy and appeared a dirty beach. The area to the land side was poorly developed and maintained and just looked messy and unattractive. It could be so much better.

wandering around wrapped in childhood and adulthood memories of this place traveled and stayed at Forster numerous times as a kid later returned with my kids many a day photographing and re-photographing those baths back again 2021.. haven't been here for thirty years oh memory

Forster Main Beach is perfect for everyone. There is the open ocean with our trusty life savers there to protect you while you swim. When you need a rest dive into the ocean pool. Which is calm and safe for you to relax in, it even has ramp access We got lucky and watched the dolphins frolic just on the other side of the pool wall. Then you can cook your BBQ lunch on the new undercover FREE gas bbqs. The new toilet and shower block is very convenient and the local cafes are also good so, I think that Forster really does have it all.

The water temperature is amazing, life guards are super friendly. There were a couple of blue bottles but seemed to clear slightly the next day. Highly recommend!

Great area for fishing, swimming, relaxing. Plenty to do around a very small area whatever your tastes are!!!! The main beach & bath's were exceptionally clean & well maintained. Overall a great place to sit back and enjoy.

hi there, does the surf club have a beach wheelchair available for disabled people?

I have spent 4 days at Port Stephens and at One Mile beach there is a special wheelchair available to go along the beach. It has large ballon like tyres. I do notn recall where to get it probably from the surf club at the beach. Check itout. ort Stephens is just 3 and a half hours from Central Sydney and there is much more to do there than at Forster. But very hilly and like Forster cluns have courtesy buses. Charles.
