We visited the NSW park visitors centre to ask for advice where we could visit. The park ranger suggested to visit Cape Hawke lookout as a good place to visit and provided us directions. However he never warned us the pathway from the parking spot. We found no other cars parked there when we visited. Trying to go to the lookout the army of mossies attacking us were so much we could only go about 1/3 before we turned back. Never in life we have seen huge numbers of mossies anywhere in the world.

Lovely walk from Elizabeth Beach round to Seven Mile Beach. Moderate to steep and there have been rock slides in a few places so decent shoes required.

Nature looking sparkling and beautiful on a sunny day. Mostly deserted during the week, the park has a few beaches, accessible by short walks and by car. Elizabeth Beach is lovely!

Had a great walk with the family up Booti hill doing the loop walk. It says it is a 2.5 hr walk but we did it in under 2hrs. Enjoyed the Forest half the best which was also the hardest starting on the beach and then heading to the hill. Beautiful scenery. On the back half of the walk which followed the lake was nice but being close to the road and hearing a lot of vehicles takes away the serenity. Overall a fun walk

Best spots are to camp on tent sites, over the weekend the campground was packed but plenty of space if you just had a tent. Right on seven mile beach, beautiful and no one around . Ideal for surfers, not patrolled so be careful when swimming as big and unpredictable surf .
Lots of mossies when we visited. We booked 3 but ended up staying 5 nights .short drive to Elizabeth beach , patrolled on weekends and easier and calmer for swimming.
Love love this place .

This one falls between two stools - not sure if it’s a national park or a commercial camp ground. The sites are not overly large but ok. It looks unkempt and it is definitely a public service venue – they didn’t clean dunnies and showers over the weekend being busiest time but rocked up when it suited on Monday morning. The "office" staff are also definitely not client first focussed.

There is a fairly uninteresting walk around part of the cape too but its return takes you back along the road which is fairly low on ambience.

The national park is located on a peninsula about 8 kilometres long and at it's widest it's a couple of kilometres. It separates Lake Wallis from the Pacific Ocean and contains a camping area, picnic areas, Seven Mile Beach, Cape Hawke Lookout and Booti Hill to name a few sites. The picnic areas have a lot of information on sign/poster boards about the history, topography, wildlife and Indigenous People's use of the park.

Entered thinking to stay with caravan. Despite Parks office full of staff cars, no-one in sight; not many other members of the public around. Parking is expensive, simply for access to the lovely beaches around here just around the corner - there's is nothing attractive in the park, not even the row of big rubbish bins that make it look like a council depot! Threatening signs about fines if you don't pay for parking. Ugh! There is better free access to beaches elsewhere. Unmade road into park appalling. Sites d ry. No power. Overnight stay extra to entry/parking fees! This is a real take. Shame on the NSW government. They should be providing taxpayers with incentives not running a dis- incentivising money hungry inefficient enterprise. Surely crown land belongs to all of us?
