The cave is great, we had Juan who was a great guide, we went to the dry entrance because my Dad who goes every year, was unsure about the water levels since rainy season had begun. It is steep to get there at the dry entrance and rocky, but the actual cave was not difficult, just had to army crawl through one part and climb, it is great.

My partner and I enjoyed five care-free days in the Punta Gorda area in late February, staying at the charming Chaab'il B'e lodge. PG Tours arranged three birding tours for us and we highly recommend them. They are well connected with knowledgeable and friendly local guides and restaurants, leading to most enjoyable outings. We had one whole day birding tour with a delicious lunch at a Mayan village, and a most enjoyable Sunday morning at Cotton tree Lodge, with a diverse group of enthusiasts from the Punta Gorda Birding Club. The final highlight was an early morning trip to Red Bank Village, where we were thrilled to have sightings of the magnificent Scarlet Macaws at three locations round the village. Many thanks to Jo and Pip at PGTours! We will definitely be back for more adventures once the pandemic is over.

I was visiting PG with a group of 11 people and PG Tours helped organize about half of the activities we did. From the Spice Farm to Blue Creek Cave, to Nim Li Punit Mayan Ruins we experienced such a variety of exceptional experiences throughout the region and really gained an insight into Belizean culture. Pip was our driver for majority of the week and was so sweet and friendly!! Curtis drove us to the tour at Blue Creek Cave and was full of stories and enthusiasm. PG tours truly does an excellent job organizing wonderful tours around Punta Gorda!

This was the first time we met.Emmeth Young and his charming artist wife Jill. What a drummer. He is well respected as a Creole artist, and when you here his enthusiastic and joyful drumming, you can see why. Jill, an artist and accomplished local chef, made us some tea and cooked some lemon-curd goodies over the wood fire, while Emmeth roasted some cashews and explained the process. What a lovely afternoon we spent with this family. The bonus was their beautiful and talented teenage daughter who writes poetry and plays the traditional creole drums

I really enjoyed my stay in Aguacate. I stayed with a family and learned all about the culture of the Mayans. I got to help with cooking, laundry in the river, caring for the animals, and craft making. The family was very helpful and answered all my questions, and it was fun playing with the children too. I highly recommend this as it was 100% authentic and a completely immersive experience.

Super fun day with PG tours. The cave was fun (if somewhat intense), and the meal afterwards was AMAZING. Jo was super helpful and worked with me (traveling solo) to try and coordinate with other groups so I could get out and see the local sights. Definitely stop by their office if you're interested in seeing anything local. I'd book a tour with them again in a heartbeat!

Hands down the best tour and experience of our whole trip! We toured all over the country travelling far and wide for 21 days, Eladios chocolate and farm tour was better than youd ever expect. His big family welcomed us warmly the moment we arrived. Fed us an incredible traditional dish, with fresh squeezed lime juice! Toured the farm land where there are hundreds of edible plants around, with eladios knowledge, you get to taste too many things to count. He is the loveliest most inspiring man! Great tour guide. Cannot thank them enough for such an epic experience! Definitely do this tour:) and then theres the chocolate!!!

We booked our tour through PG Tours. They were very friendly and made the booking process very easy. Agapito was the guide that picked us up at our lodge. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the plant and animal life of Belize. On our drive to Blue Creek Village he pointed out various things of notice and told us about them. Once we got to the Village, another guide, Juan, gave us our gear and then accompanied us to the cave. Juan was also very friendly and very knowledgeable. Most of the hike to the cave is fairly easy, but you do have to climb over some rocks at the end to get to the cave entrance. The cave is an amazing adventure! You climb into the cave at an entrance that is dry, but it is not long before you have to enter the water. You swim into the cave for a bit, and then you end up floating back out through the mouth of the cave. It was truly an awesome experience! Then once you hike back to Blue Creek Village, they have a delicious traditional lunch ready for you. I would highly recommend this tour.

This "farm" is about 4 miles off the road, passing thru a large village to get to the chocolate farm. What an experience. Eladio is certainly a very wise man, loves the land, a true steward of this lush area. He is an inspiring teacher & his grandson is learning the ways of his Mayan ancestors to carry on. We tramped thru the cocoa forest, finding not only beans but eating bananas we plucked, drinking from a coconut that Eladio picked & opened for us as well as sour sap fruit. Eladio cut our napkins from a tree, all goes back to nature. After our walk, we went back to his home where we helped his oldest daughter make tortillas which we ate with our delicious traditional soup for lunch. Then we went down to learn about how they make their chocolate. Each step we described and we participated in tasting the beans, grinding the beans to make a paste, and enjoying their traditional chocolate drink. No sugar added! We did put a bit on honey in our 2nd helping to see the difference that would make. Then we went back up stairs to try the variety of chocolate bars the women had made that morning. Of course we bought them as well as the chocolate paste. What an amazing experience that was REAL. Thank you Eladio & family for keeping & sharing such important traditions.

We are so happy you had a great time at Eladios Cacao farm, it really is one of the "must see/do" attractions in Toledo! Such wonderful, friendly and humble people that really enjoy sharing their culture and traditions! We always say, Toledo offers truly authentic experiences, and Eladios is right up there!
