Vinayaka Temple Kurudumale
ago. de 2019 • Pareja
The temple is nestled in a small village some 10 kms from Mulbagal on Srinivasapura road. One can drive up to the entrance and enter the forecourt. The idol sits on a pededtal of nearly 4 feet and is 13.5 feet tall. It is chiseled out of a huge monolithic 'Saligrama Shile'and is supposed to be the tallest in the world.(amongst Saligrama Shile carvings)
Mythology attributes the installation of the idol to the Trimurti!Hence The Vinayaka is supposed to have been there since time immemorial. How ever the temple structure is of Vijayanagar period and hence it is majestic and simple. The greatest thing about the idol is that it is one of the finest ifols you will ever see. It is very very beautiful. You can appreciate it's beautybetter when you see it without any Alankara. The approach roads are very good and the Vinayaka is fantastic. Go and visit it.

Kurudumale Ganesha temple
may. de 2019 • Solitario
Visited this temple in 05/19 and really mesmerized by Lord Ganesha's Idol. The road to temple is quite good. I reached @ around 7:00 AM though the priests came @ around 8:00 AM and then the temple was opened. Had fantastic darshan of Lord Ganesha.
There were few monkey outside the temple but they were not harming anyone.
Parking space is just outside temple and along the roadside.

abr. de 2019 • Familia
We have been visiting these two temples since many years , the Ganesha statue is huge and at 9 the Abhishek bath rituals was so good to see , the best part of this years visit was , the rundown temples had a make over , thanks to a Good Samaritan, one Mr ———from Usa , seeing the state of the govt run temples , he in matter is 15 days with 65 masons and artisans got the whole place renovated for a sum of 6.5 lacks .

All the idols were decked up and we felt so much positive vibrations .

We as single people can do only for a few, but
Hope our philanthropy software giants , take this up as a good deed and get all the old rundown temples a makeover .

It was so Soothing to pray here
A must visit temple

peaceful and calm and lovely place.
ene. de 2019 • Pareja
One of the best holly place to visit. So calm and peaceful devotional place. People usually visit this temple before starting their new venture. Well maintained place. Only concern is there are no hotels any close by. It's a huge idol of Ganesha 13 and a half foot and people say this was established by God's. Best time to visit is between July to October. Entry fee is free. The interesting thing about this temple is that it is built of rock without any foundation. The temple is considered to be built during the Cholas period.

Salagrama Ganesha
may. de 2018 • Familia
Salagrama is a precious stone available in Gandaki river, Nepal. Generally temples will have at least one salagram stone in garbha griha of temple. Worshipping salagrama is more powerful. I saw several thousands of salagramams in Raghunath Temple, Jammu kept in systematic way and open for darshan of visitors. Also I saw temples where Salagrama hara (garland) is decorated to diety. But here in kurudumale, in this temple, sri Ganesh is of Salagram. And very big statue. Oh. Very unique, great and important. The story is, here Ganesh Maharaj was installed by Sri Brahma, Sri Vishnu & Sri Maheswar jointly. So have darshan of this ganesha if lucky.

A temple visit
mar. de 2018
It is about 11 kms from mulbagal. Except a couple of Kms from mulbagal, the road is very good. The presiding deity of the temple is anjaneya. The temple closes between 1-3 in afternoon.

We visited this place after Kotilingeshwara.
Though we arrived at an odd time near 3 pm - it was reopening for evening session.
It's a very old temple - many centuries old.
