Bring your own towel! Lockers are available to store your things.
We've been to a few different hot springs 'resort' places and the setting of Durango is beautiful. We will drive past our local spot to come here! The views from the pools are amazing. The amount of different temperature tubs to choose from made it feel like you could tailor your soak to your own needs. We went on a weekday during a low tourist time, so it was not crowded. Never had an issue getting the pool we wanted. Loved it so much that we made plans to come back for Christmas.
I would love to see a nice hotel added to the property so you can stay and soak!

This is a nice place to relax. It is pretty relaxed on rules compared to other places that I have been to. They sell alcohol and there is a food truck. There isn’t enough shade or chairs. I liked the 107 pool.

I can’t love these hot spring pools enough we come from Goodyear, Arizona so our water temperatures are always like bathwater and very warm pools. I don’t think I could’ve gone in if they weren’t warm there was a perfect amount of heat to whichever one you wanted to be in. It’s well spread out and not too crowded. There’s a nice little snack. Stand with bar purchases available as well. There are lockers for your stuff. If you need to lock anything up I recommend if you’re a local bringing your bathrobe as it does, get a little chilly when you get out. Definitely a must try on your vacation.

Visited here at 4pm on a Friday. Place had a steady crowd but not overly busy. I think there are about 42 "pools" ranging from 48 deg to 109 deg - including two cold plunges (48 and 76 deg) and a larger actual swimming pool, which was at 93 degrees. We enjoyed trying all the pools and had a good time. There is an adult side and a family side. Many kids were having a blast. Our kids would love it so might bring them next time. Would recommend and return.

This a lovely Hot Spring with sections for both families and adults. There are a variety of pools throughout the property with varying temperatures. There is a large swimming pool to enjoy. The property even has a cold plunge. There is a restaurant on the property and several food trucks. The bathrooms are clean with plenty of dressing room. This will definitely be part of our Durango vacation from now on.

I have been going to this place starting in the 80's when it was called Trimble Hot Springs. It appears their new construction has brought out new issues with the water and minerals. I had what I think is an expensive brand new bathing suit top (wore only one time cost about $100) stained from the water and minerals in their new soaking pools. That has never been an issue in the past. It was extremely disappointing and I am sad for them. I know it is not their intention but being in denial of their problems or adding booze, food trucks and live music will not resolve this problem. We can get much better booze, music, and food downtown. We want to soak and relax without being grossed out by dirty soaking pools. The children showed me how their hands turned orange from touching the bottom of the pools.
In addition in my view this is not the place to go if you have any mobility issues because getting in and out of their "new and improved" small soaking pools can be challenging and possibly provide a risk of serious injury as a result of a fall.
The swimming pool does have a good accessibility and is cleaner than the other soaking options but it is crowded and not worth the price if that is the only pool you can safely access.
It's time to sell the hot springs to people that know what they are doing.

I'm living nearby and are just using my second annual pass, but surely it will be the last one I buy. It depends on what you are going for. There are many soaking-pools and you can choose your temperature and people you sit with in the water. They treat the water, it's clear and does not smell and has no chloride in. No itching water!
If you want to swim, they do have a beautifully looking pool, but it's really cold most days, so cold that even the kids avoid it. In summer this might be nice, otherwise you are reduced to sitting in the pools. There is no shelter if it rains, also no protection against too much sun. The changing-rooms are the old ones from times when the entrance fee was $ 7 - now it is $ 39 and can be crowded.

I took my sister who was visiting me from Texas to the hot springs here and I was so shocked by how rude the front desk lady was. She made us feel like us being there was a huge inconvenience and told us that we were to leave by 7:00 the latest and we got there at about 5:00. I understand that they have time frames but they don’t need to be rude when they are giving information. Her tone and bad attitude made us feel very unwelcome. How customers are treated needs to be evaluated. Yes the Durango Hot Springs are beautiful but not worth paying the price for a timed slot and then being treated like our business was an issue from the very start. I’m not so sure I will go back.

This is our second time at the hot springs as we make an annual trip to Durango over the week after Christmas to ski. We were really disappointed because the resort doesn't seem to do much in the way of crowd control. We pai over $100 for a family of four for 2 hours (12/29/2023), we were frustrated with how many people were allowed in at one time. All of the hotter pools were so crowded we couldn't get any space for over an hour. One of the staff said the resort had a record for 1,200 people in one day. After one hour in the really shallow lukewarm area, we finally were able to split up and get into a hotter tub.

“Resort and Spa” is very mis-leading. This is nothing more than a bunch of public pools crammed with kids and people. Facilities are old and customer service is non-existent. Big Pass!

How far is Trimble hot Springs from Purgatory Village? Is it open to the public? How much? Will we be able to do this on our early March ski trip?
