This was a very nice place. They really got people fed fast! The entertainment was really good & it wasn't too late when all was done. It rained while we were here & it's outside, but they have a unique way to very quickly cover the seating area so we stayed dry; that was COOL. It's a chuck wagon, so everyone eats basically the same thing. So make sure to check the menu before you go. If you don't like that food, you're not gonna be happy. The food was very good & hot. Homemade lemonade was delicious.

Fun for all ages and walks of life. Excellent show and meal! The music was great and the steak was terrific. The Bar D Wranglers and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Bar D Chuckwagon Suppers rolled out the red carpet!! The staff are so amazing and the show is top notch! There are multiple shops and activities for the kids, including the cutest train ride! The Blacksmith shop was super fun for the kiddos! And they got to pan for gold! We loved dinner—perfect Chuckwagon experience! (If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault!) The Bar D Wranglers are SO talented and funny! We laughed, cried, clapped along and even learned how to yodel! A group of 33 was full of old people all the way down to toddlers and the teens even said they had fun! Thanks for the ranch for making such a fun evening for our family!!

Great family entertainment and dinner! We arrived at 3:30, ticket window opened at 4:30, and the hour wait was worth it! We got a prime viewing seat. There are shops to while away the time until supper is served at 6:30. Important tip—visit the dining room and find your table before wandering the grounds. You can select your seat at the picnic table. We liked facing the stage while resting our backs against the table. The food is good, and the Wranglers put on a fun show. It is a good value.

Entertainment was fantastic. Special shout out to the fiddle player for Devil Went Down To Georgia, beyond talented. Dinner was great and service was speedy. Friendly employees. Great place to have my 70th birthday!

A fun family show. The band is talented and funny. The food is good, too. I reccomend splurging for the ribeye. There is plenty to eat. Highly recommend! Everyone was friendly, too!

Me and my family had a great experience! The food was better than I expected (we all ate chicken and it was very good.) the music was wonderful! The performers where funny, entertaining, and very talented. It was our second time going and we enjoyed it just as much!

We went as a party of 14. There may have been 700 guests that night but the place never seemed crowded. Dinner is well organized and is served on time and quickly (you actually go through a short serving line). Food is decent but not great. We liked the chicken over the beef. But portions are generous and we were offered seconds.
The entertainment was really good. At least for those that like old western songs or movie theme songs.
Good number of repeat guests as they checked where guests came from.

I don't typically have a lot of tolerance for corny humor, so I was skeptical that I would enjoy this, but a friend had made the arrangements. The comedy was not quite as corny as I feared and the quality of the musical performance definitely tipped the balance so that I really enjoyed the evening of cowboy music, singing, yodeling, fiddle, guitars and bass.
There are 3 choices of entree,: chicken or roast beef in BBQ sauce, or grilled ribeye, the last for an additional price. I got the ribeye-- it was large and flavorful and the rest of the meal was also delicious. The roast beef did not look appealing to me, but my husband liked it.

Wonderful dinner show chuckwagon style. Best to make reservations especially for large parties. Property is well maintained. Its been in business since 1969 and grandson is now managing. Lots of kids activities, gift shop, chocolate shop, gallery all interesting. The food was tasty. Chicken was a little more tender than the beef. For us (4 couples in our 60-70's) the best part of the evening was the entertaining and talented cowboy singers. Their harmonizing was wonderful!!

What time does the meal, and the show start? It looks like the facility opens at 5:30 PM.

The facility does open at 5:30. That is the time you can get your tickets. If you want an upfront table, get there early. Table assignments are based on when you get your tickets. They start serving dinner at 7:30. Once everyone is done with dinner, the show will start. It is most enjoyable evening.

It is fun to be up close. We got the front row last time and I think it was worth it. Check and see when it opens though. I stood in line for tickets while the others waited in the car. If I remember correctly I think we were there and hour early and I thought 45 minutes would have worked

Please call the reservations line 970-247-5753 when you know your schedule. They can tell you the expected size of the crowd. If it is only 300-400, then all seats will be great for the show. If it is a weekend or we are expecting a large crowd then arriving early might be worth it to avoid sitting near the back.

There is a movable truss/canvas cover for rainy nights that cover the eating area. The show goes on as usual. If it rains for only a few minutes as is typical for summer showers, we open it back up when it stops. Thanks for your interest. Bar D

Wear the same cloths that you would wear to any casual outdoor event. The area is covered in a case of rain but can get cool by the end of the show on a "normal" evening under the stars. Putting a light sweater or jacket in the car is a good idea. There is enough time to go to the parking lot to get cloths from the car in the quick break between the supper and the start of the show. There is lots of parking and the Bar D is about 10 miles North of down town Durango.
