Awesome trip down the river! Weather was good, and our guide Natalie was very skilled and knowledgeable. The scenery is awe inspiring, and we will absolutely do it again.

Had a great time rafting down the Rio Grande river with Shannon. Great sight seeing and wonderful conversations. She was knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, understood best ways to navigate around the river, and kept our crew engaged and dry!
Would definitely want to go back for another trip, with Shannon as our guide!

Had the very best time with this company! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with enthusiasm! We were a party of 13, our guides were Shannon and Taylor. Both of these young ladies made the trip fun and informative. Paula gave us a history lesson of the volcano and how the mountains were formed. Our driver, can’t remember his name, told us about the rock and how the pony express used it as a “post office”. Saw a turkey and a deer on our trip! The photos that were taken by our driver, sent to my email, are amazing! I would recommend this company to anyone coming to South Fork or the neighboring area.

We took the half day rafting trip with a group of 19 (ages 12 through 60’s) and everyone had a great time. They were able to accommodate us with a few members of our party being “big guys” well over 300 lbs. The equipment was in excellent shape and the guides made it sure everyone felt safe and had an absolute blast. The teens especially loved the water wars between the rafts. The pictures included were also amazing. Would absolutely recommend Mountain Man/Narrow Ridge to anyone who is considering rafting in the South Fork area. We can’t wait to do it again!

MUST do in South Fork! Our group of 19, went out yesterday morning and had an awesome time! We have young children and was great for everyone! Wes was the best guide!

Most amazing trip down the Rio Grande with my granddaughter. Our guide Taylor was awesome, knew the territory and let us know when to turn around for photos. The entire staff was friendly, engaging and professional upon our arrival, and throughout the whole expedition. I have done this trip before in years past and will be doing it again next season.

Excellent day out on the river. Mountain Man rafting was a great experience for our group of 10. Lots of laughs and fun for the whole family. Highly recommend!

Great place. Love the history lesson they gave before we got in. Taylor was amazing and went above and beyond. She had everyone sign for the birthday boy. We asked her to stop to take a special photo with just us. She remembered all kids name right away and next day called them by name at the parade when kids saw she was in it.

I went by myself on the Whitewater Kayaking trip and had such an amazing time! Shannon is such a great instructor making sure we were safe and had fun. Definitely a great time and would definitely do it again. And i loved the touch of the free photos!! It was so nice being able to have those and share

i am 75 ,obese, is it safe and manageable?

The guides take you directly to the drop off point and pick you up at the end in vans. So there is no extra walking. You are given an option to paddle or not and the bench seats in the rafts themselves accommodate 2 large adults or 2 adults and a child. The guides are very helpful getting in and out of the raft. I am 65 and 200lbs. I would also advise you to take the free neoprene water socks and rain gear for the trip. Our group was caught in a pm rain storm and water in the bottom of the raft can be quite chilling. I personally loved our raft trip with Mountain Man. I believe that if you have further concerns call them directly.

Do you need to make reservations and how far in advance? Planning on the last Thursday or Friday in June. 2 adults 2 children.

We will be vacationing in Creede August 1-6th. Would a rafting trip be available then? If the water is cold do you provide body (wet) suits? We have 10 people in our group. How many can fit in a raft?

We rafted with Mountain Man last week. The water is cold but we didn't really get wet. Splashed a little but it wasn't bad at all. They do have splash gear if you need to use it. They also provide water shoes for you as well. Our family group of 6 went together and it was a wonderful time for us. You won't regret it!
