My department just had its annual staff outing here, and everyone had a great time. The food, atmosphere, and drinks were all great, and all of the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Making an online reservation for our group was very easy. I live nearby and hope to return soon!

Friendly, unusual, personality-filled venue for pizza from a wood-fired oven, candle pin bowling (new to me!) and good beer and cocktails. Spacious and affordable. I loved it.

Excellent! We tried to go over the weekend but wait was too long. Went first thing Monday morning. No problem. We had a blast. The lanes are well maintained, as is the facility and staff is great. Looking forward to doing it again. Next time we will try american flatbread.

We were in Boston for a cruise so we were looking for something different to do. We found Sacco’s Candlepin bowling and decided to give it a shot.
We stayed downtown Boston so after a $20 & a 20 minute Uber ride we showed up Sacco’s.
Walking in was like traveling back in time. This place reminds me of the bowling alley I grew up in 40 years ago.
The staff went above and beyond to help us keep score, order food and make us feel like family.
Besides the bowling we had the pizza and it was excellent!
The entire experience was amazing and I highly recommend for everyone from 2 to 102!

For a break from touring (college or otherwise), you can’t beat this lighthearted bowling alley! It’s candlestick bowling, with skinny pins and small balls, and you get 3 balls per frame. And they serve the yummiest thin crust pizza (flatbread) to you right in the lane. From the signage, this place supports a ton of great local causes, and buys their produce from local farms. The staff were warm and friendly. We will be back!

This place was absolutely awesome! I am not a flatbread type pizza fan but this place made me think twice. Everything they use is all local which I find to be awesome. The pizza itself was delicious! Now for the bowling...I have never done anything so frustrating! Haha. We all stunk it up in the alley-ways. But it was still fun. Great place to bring visitors!

Stranded in Boston (flight canceled due to lightning) on a Sunday night, I was struggling to find something family friendly to do. Sacco's to the rescue!! Open Sunday nights till 10:30pm, this was a perfect solution for us to make the most of our unexpected last night in the city.
Candlepin bowling is different from your typical bowling, and the small differences are fun for kids. The balls are smaller and lightweight (and they're all the same size/weight), and each player gets three turns per frame. No screens here, you keep score with a good 'ol paper and pencil. The pizza (flatbreads) are good and the atmosphere is fun. The staff was super friendly. 10:30 had come and gone, but they still had one customer left in the restaurant so they let us play the full game instead of kicking us out.
Also helpful--it's located easy walking distance from the Davis stop on the Red Line.

Candlepin bowling is so much fun and hard to find. And, with very good pizza and up to date beer selections! A great time for kids, teens, and adults - no one can score very high even if they are good at big ball bowling. I wish there were candlepin lanes everywhere.

Really amazing pizzas baked in real huge wood burning ovens. Very friendly staff that really make sure you have a good experience.
If you’re lucky enough to be seated near the ovens you also get a free shower with the pizza bakers swinging the pizza bread into the air...
Didn’t try the bowling so I can’t comment on that.
I visited on a Friday starting at about six pm. At that time there were a few families with toddlers there, later the crowd became more young adults.

We came here on a Thursday nigh with 3 kids and 3 adults. We got here early (17:30) and were able to get a lane without a reservation. We each order a different cocktail and they were all amazing. We ordered three pizzas (cheese, sausage and mushroom and the veg specialty). The pizzas were all great. The crust had a good texture and the toppings were all of good quality. The candle pin bowling was perfect for the kids as they could easily hold the small balls and could play without much help from the adults. The service was very fast and super friendly.
