Beach that can be reached in two ways or leaving the bike where the road ends and from there take a path that leads to the cove with the bar. Or we reached it from Anse Coco along a path that in 20 minutes takes you to Anse Caiman. Small beach with a bar, ideal for sipping something.

Loved it! Beautiful, secluded and with some great snorkelling right close to the shore & rocks. Bring your own gear and food if you want to make a day of it, cause there is not much there other than the bar. We saw nobody during the walk and there were a total of 3 other people at Anse Caiman when we arrived, with 2 of them being bar staff :)
We had been exploring La Digue by bicycle and came to the end of the road. We parked our bikes and had to climb over large boulders, which at times was very difficult considering we were only dressed in swimwear, flip flops and had a broken beach bag to carry with us. Don't be like us! But we are not afraid of a bit of a challenge & saw it as part of the adventure. Some kind person has left arrows marked on the rocks to point the way, without which we probably would have got lost.
All worth it once you arrived at Anse Caiman! So peaceful and beautiful, with fantastic rum cocktails and plenty of shady & sunny spots to enjoy your time however you like.
I would highly recommend the bouldering to Caiman (if you are fit, prepared & have the right attitude); it was one of the highlights of our trip to the Seychelles. A different kind of experience from a lot of the polished, organised tourist outings that cost the Earth available elsewhere.

This beach was beautiful and the bar there was so cool. Had the the best drinks in town. Owner has to carry all his food and drinks through quite a hike. It was definitely an adventure getting there but so worth it. Easier if you come from Coco anse. But follow the arrows if you don’t. The whole bar was built from a tree that fell down there. And it’s next to an old store house from the early 1900’s. Definitely make it a stop

The spot is really beautiful and unique. Next to it, there is the natural rock pool with warm water and little fish inside. To come to this particular location you have 3 option, first a short adventure path from the end of the road Anse Fourmis, just follow the yellow arrows about 30 minutes or a walk along the reef during low tide, it is an easier walk until you reach a small beach along the way then continue up in the normal trail. For the advenure path you have to climb a little bit over the rocks, so shoes/sandals are recommended. However there is also a easier way from Grand Anse beach its about 45 minutes walk.
The bar is really cool, nice and friendly owners. Cold beer 😃 and really good fruit cocktails. Not expensive, you should definitly come to enjoy the day!

This is probably the only beautiful beach on La Digue where you can be completely on your own! Therefore you need to do a little hiking and climbing between the rocks at the coast. Some sort of trecking shoes are useful. Behind Anse Caiman are some ruins of an old hause and behind that a little sea water bassin (see photos). We greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet, sand and water there and made our way until we got to Grand Anse...

Ciao !
Grazie in anticipo!!
