its a nice track. weird at only 12 holes but money talks and houses need to be built. but the course is very well maintained and fun to play. the staff is top notch, very friendly and helpful. i would come back again for sure and try the burgers at the silo grill.

As annual visitors to the area for over 18 years, the wife and I have frequented and loved the challenging and fun 18-hole links-style course of Piper's Glen. The course is now replaced by a 12-hole track purportedly to accord with modern tastes, as cited by Jack Nicklaus on the club's website, but really to accommodate an encroaching housing development. Not sure this concept will work in cottage/leisure country. The track has even been renamed 'The Club at Westlinks,' after the development. To be clear, 6 holes were not simply consumed by suburban demand; some old holes (I recall 3 and 4) were eliminated for example, but those that remain have been considerably altered, so your GPS watch/yardage keeper won't grok the changes. Still, the holes remain fun and challenging, despite the confusion, and the fairways and greens remain fantastic. One thing that hasn't changed is the fescue/gorse: it is inevitable, and inescapable - don't waste your time looking for your ball. This is an ideal course for the high- to mid-handicapper who just wants an outing, but will disappoint most higher ranked players because of the shortness of the holes. The friendliness of the pro shop staff and the groundskeepers is especially noteworthy. We spent $90 for 18 holes, including cart, and had a better time than Sauble Golf Club at almost twice the price (see my review).

The course was converted last year to a 12-hole. Land has been sold for real estate and the cash influx could help. A couple of new buildings and improvements. However the 1st hole is atrocious. A 250 yard par 4. There is plenty of real estate to extend this. The balance of the holes are pretty good but some confusing bunker layouts. There is room for improvement but it's a decent track if you like links style. Let's see in 2018 how it looks.

Sorry, but I am not one of the "new breed" who likes 12 hole golf courses. I have played Piper's Glen about 10 times in the last three years and I must say that the changes they have made - all in the name of housing development - just ruined a good thing. The course now has (12) physical holes with (6) of them having alternate tee boxes so that they can be used as holes 13-18 if you wish to play 18 ... I have played it twice as an 18 hole course and both times I was disappointed .. sorry, i think they would have been better off increasing the development and making the course a 9 hole course for those who just wanted to get out for a quick round ...

The owners are doing some major work so only 9 holes were open for play. A level easy to walk course with very few trees. Pipers Glen is a links style course and difficult to play in windy conditions. Rough is treacherous and fairways are in good condition. Greens were very well maintained and were hard and fast when we played in early October.

We golfed as who couples today. The ladies did 9 holes and the gents did 18 holes. We booked easily on line with tee-on.com. We changed times easily on line. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The course is great. It's a links style with lots of fescue. It's challenging but not overwhelming. Carts were in great condition. Course Marshall dropped by and encouraged us to go at our pace and enjoy ourselves. We did! We will use this course as our go-to course when we stay at MacGregor Point Provincial Park.
