You can get a good basic overview of the area here. Fantastic exhibits and you can visit a kiva. The kiva is an exact replica of the kivas you will see in the ruins.

I've been to a lot in the South West. This was an unexpected joy and a great way to start exploring. Pueblo ruins and an unbelievable pottery collection. The explanations that accompany the displays are great and give you a sequential education.

The museum is ‘t very big, but has a lot of beautiful artefacts and information. You learn a lot about the history of the ancestral puebloans.
Outside you can visit some ruins and descend in a kiva.

Realy interesting and advisable to start here before visiting ancient Puebloan people excavations. The displayed items in their context are truly beautiful done. A real hidden gem. Behind the museum is an excavation.

If you are a fan of rock art you will love it. If you enjoy stunning photography of the night sky with rock art , it's wonderful. Lots of good exhibits, and some modern arts.
a little out of the way but well worth it.

A real surprise to find this museum. Comprehensive collection and explanation of the aboriginal people from the high desert in Utah. Short walk to some of the ruins which can be examined up close.

My husband and I first saw this museum 5 years ago. I was not sure it would be worth the $5 to go in. I was SO wrong! We came out 4 hours later with a much better understanding of the ancestral Pueblans and what they left behind. We went again today and it is still magnificent. The collection is superb, the descriptions are clear and easy to read, and the layout makes sense. They also have a Pueblo on site and a kiva you can go in. If you even get near Blanding and are interested in the ruins, petroglyphs, and ancient history of the people of the area, this museum is a definite must-see. Plan on spending several hours....

So much history well displayed and described. The pottery is in excellent condition, there are areas for children to learn and play. There is an amazing turkey blanket. If you want to know more about the area’s former residents and the land this is the place. Very friendly staff and outside has original dwelling.

This museum is run by the state of Utah. It is a modern facility with excellent exhibits of ancient Puebloan artifacts. There is also an easily accessible ruin behind the museum. Many of the artifacts - pottery, tools, fabrics - are first-class examples. Some of the pieces have interesting stories explaining how they were found and protected until acquired by the museum.

It really depends on your interests. We probably spent an hour and a half, but could have spent twice that if we had carefully read all the displays. GREAT and interesting park.
