It was lovely once we got to the falls however; the trail is a bit rough and steep to walk. We also almost did not make it back out with our little car. My husband had to make three runs from the bottom of a steep area. No phone signal so was scary if we had needed help. Would not recommend taking a small car. If you have not guessed we are seniors! Finally, a bench or two at the falls would add to the experience as one could stay a while and enjoy the beauty you are surrounded by.

Look for the turn by the Boy-scouts Camp. There’s also a building for rental equipment and a Big Elk (not real) in front. We passed it up and had to turn around as road is marked with a Hwy number (2200 I think).
The beginning of the road isn’t too bad but bumpy. Then it gets worse. There are lots of turns & steep areas along with loose gravel toward the end. When you come around the last curve you’ll see a parking area and a sign with “waterfall”. The Fall is so worth it !! Easy walk in that takes only a couple of minutes. Watch your footing as there’s lots of roots. The way out can be challenging, just give it all you got gas wise to get up that steep part with the loose gravel. Don’t stop midway or you’ll get stuck. Just back up & try again. The rest was easy although bumpy.

My husband and I ventured out for the first time this spring! We were NOT disappointed! Great option for those who can’t hike long distances but still want to enjoy Arkansas’ natural beauty!

We enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls and the hikes to the bottom and then to the top. We were there about an hour. I highly suggest driving the last 3 miles in a truck or SUV. Our sedan made it but it was a bit iffy. After a heavy rain, it could have been much worse.

This was our first trail for our stay at Jasper, AR. We was on the trail, Saturday morning by 8:35. On three cars inthe parking lot. After getting over the initial creek first half of the trail was flat and easy, for strollers n wheel chairs. Then the fun and sights begin. Do it all, and of course the falls in the Eden Cave falls. When we returned there was 25 vehicles in the parking lot.

It is beautiful! The drive to the falls requires some caution, as the roads are gravel, no ledge barriers, and very steep. There are signs posted telling you to stop and cool off your breaks before making the final distance to the falls trail.
We were told that during the spring or after hard rains, the falls run more. During this time, there are 3 falls. When we went, there were only two. It is sometimes called Twin Falls for this reason, instead of Triple Falls.
The hike to the falls is very short and not difficult at all. There is a stream that runs along the trail and to the falls pool. The falls pool is clear and blue. Some rocks are slippery if you walk in or around the water, so be careful there, but overall, it is beautiful and safe/fun for all ages!

One of are favorite spots. But the road down can be tough going. The last time we where there we had to help pull two cars back up the hill because they couldn't make it. If you are going to go try and go with a 4 wheel drive it will make it a much easier drive. The falls are beautiful and worth the drive.

Beautiful twin/triple waterfall. Very short hike but getting in and out is a rough ride. Prepare to stop and cool your breaks on the way in. On the way out, if it has rained recently you will need a 4WD. Water is COLD! Also, no pets allowed on the waterfall

We went there and found no water! I am sure it would be beautiful in the early spring during the rainy season, but this was not the time.

While the drive takes a while and the road is far poor these falls are worth the time. You won't need a 4WD but you must drive carefully.
It was pretty in December but it would be nicer in the spring.

You should be fine depending if it has rained etc. Just be cautious, take it slow, use lower gears, and enjoy the views. The key is to use common sense and do not go beyond your driving experience. 😉

Do you think a Honda Civic can make it in and out? I made it up the long steep gravel road to Hawksbill Crag, so I feel pretty confident it can make it to triple falls. Just wanting some other opinions. Thanks!

I have only been once and we were in a subaru outback but did not do anything special other than rest the brakes at a place that reminds you to. The rocks are pretty big in the road. I heard they may have the road closed to possibly work on it as of this week (november 3), so be sure and check on the internet what it may say.

Swimming above the falls carries the risk of being carried over them. You can splash around under the falls where there is a pool. There is swimming, kayaking, and canoeing in the nearby Buffalo River.

You really should leave by dark. there is a parking lot at the trail head. Ranger will check it at dark as there is no overnight parking allowed.
