Just wondering if anyone else got quite sick staying at the Railay Bay Resort?
My daughter was sick from day 2 with a bacterial stomach infection from something at the hotel. The cost was BHT17,000 for treatment at the hotels medical centre.
I met other guests with sick children at the hotel.
The staff were quite rude and even seemed to think it was entertaining;
Did we miss something here / the attitude was really shocking - is this hotel for Muslim visitors only?
My daughter recovered after 4 days.
I speak basic Thai so the language was not the issue..
The hotel is very poorly run; even though my accomodation was clearly booked for an occupancy of 3 (at extra charge at time of booking) on arrival the hotel insisted on an extra occupancy surcharge for the room, but bizarrely issued 3 breakfast vouchers! It’s a rip off.
It was so bad that we checked out and went to the Bhu Nga Thani which is fantastic in comparison!
I can only advise to avoid the Railay Bay Resort at all costs!
......ad we are not Muslims. and as for being rude i think tat is the way they come across.
We enjoyed our stay at Railay bay, we only had breakfast at the hotel and we were fine. We did interact with the staff as they made out they could not understand us. I think the chain should try and put universal speakers in the hotel as that seems to be the main complaint. i learn the basics and try my best but yes they did not even try to converse at the reception. hope you are all well now.
