Checkin staff at 6 pm helpful and friendly. Overnight and 5 am staff miserable, no coffee in lobby. Waited 20 minutes. Then she drops the sleeve of covers on the floor and puts them in the container for distribution instead of throwing them away.
I stay at hotels all over North America, Europe and the Middle East and this hotel deserves low marks for noise and front desk service. Don't expect to get a good night's sleep because walls are paper thin. Don't expect a wakeup call either, it doesn't happen.
This review is for the Wildwood Hotel only. Check in went well, and starts at 4 p.m. Parking is across the street behind the casino. Note that there is only one ice machine in the whole 110 room hotel, and that machine is located near the check-in desk. If you need ice immediately, there are not ice buckets available at the desk, so in order to prevent a trip down, bring a bag or cooler to get your ice before heading to the room. A bellman is available, as well as baggage carts. This hotel is brand new, and therefore everything in the hotel is new. There are two elevators, and one was out of service. If you want to watch tv, be advised that there is a streaming, flat screen 32-inch tv in each room. The free internet on the other hand that streams the tv is very weak, and you often get the waiting daisy wheel when trying to watch tv. Also, they don’t have regular programming, including local programming. However, if you hit the input button on the remote, and fiddle with it a little, that avails you to Roku, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube TV, AppleTV, Disney+, etc. Bring your passwords with you, but logout when you are done. There are two HDMI jacks and a power strip behind the tv, if you want to bring your Apple stick, or Roku with you. There is a refrigerator and a Cuisinart pod coffee maker in the room. No microwave. There is no tub, only a shower. There is a Delta rain showerhead with plenty of hot water with a good flow. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion are provided. There is a barn door between the shower/toilet and the rest of the room. The linens and sheets are nice, the pillows are large. There is a blow dryer, and an iron with a short ironing board. There are USB charging ports on either side of the bed, built into the nightstand. The drawers and doors in the rooms are self-closing. There is a huge safe in the room, built into one of the nightstands. The room has a blackout shade on the outside window and the room is very dark and quiet. so, bring your nightlight for the bathroom. The phone was dark when we went to bed, but at about 6 a.m., the large LED screen on the phone lit up. I would encourage you to cover the phone with something opaque before retiring. The beds are comfy. The AC is a brand-new Amana brand, with a good thermostat on the wall controlling same. It operates quietly and does a good job of heating/cooling. There is no closet, but a nice luggage stand inside the front door, and hooks for your clothing. If the power goes out in the room, you must go to the area near the toilet, and reset the GFI on the outlet, which controls the entire room. When booking your room, if you have a Wildwood casino players card, your fee is much less. I have also booked a room on one of the apps for that purpose and received the player’s discount. If you need a shuttle, Wildwood has a free shuttle to take you anywhere in town. Just call a cell number for service.…
This is a new hotel that opened in July 2021, and you can tell as soon as you walk in, with everything clean and new looking still. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our king room was perfect, with nice touches, including a barn door bathroom door and a black-out shade for the window. The room also had an AC, which is not always easy to find in mountain hotels, so that was a plus! We also visited the casino, which had a variety of gaming options.
We tried to stay here but they wouldn’t let us check in a minute before 4:00 despite them telling us they had 52 rooms available that night. We grew tired of waiting and went elsewhere. With an attitude like this, I doubt the business will be successful.
