We stayed in a tiny home in the fall and this was our first experience staying in such small quarters. We mostly just slept here so we can’t speak to the ease of cooking; however, there is a stove and mini fridge (with medium size freezer) available. The bathroom/shower was small but worked well with a small window above the toilet. We used some heating as the nights were very cool, and opened windows to help circulate and allow fresh air in. There was a couch that let out into a bed and also a bed upstairs. The stairs also had usable drawers built into them. It was an experience for us climbing up and down the thin stairs to access our beds, which made us realize we aren’t exactly young enough for this type of bedding arrangement. Next time, we will definitely opt for a cabin to have more space and easier bed access. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Its a beautiful area with easy access to nearby outdoor activities and having the bistro so close for breakfast and lunch was a great addition as well.

This was exactly what I was looking for in a fishing trip. The tiny home met all of my needs and the accommodations were comfortable. The Coffee bistro was also something worth visiting. I was able to visit the shop before I hit the river every morning. The workers at the bistro were able to make what I was looking for. The coffee and the turkey melt hit the spot. I also enjoyed a breakfast burrito every morning. If your planning a fishing trip to South Fork, Tiny Timbers is something I would highly recommend. I will definitely be going back for more.

We found ourselves in good luck for a very last minute phone call to book our tiny home...(My husband and I arrived in South Fork Saturday October 5 to a previously booked place that was definitely NOT up to the standards we expect) and were thrilled with out "Tiny Home"!
The home is adorable...clean and cute decor with good quality linens. Yes, it is an adjustment with the "tiny" spaces but worth it! There is everything you need, including picnic table and grill outside!
The owner was lovely and very accommadating and gave us a great dinner suggestion: "Ramons" which we enjoyed immensely. Thank you!

We just recently stayed in a Tiny Timbers tiny home. This was a new experience for us since we have never lived or stayed in a tiny home. We chose the place based on their no pets and no smoking policies and the novelty of being tiny. We stayed for several nights and that was enough for us.
The reservation process could be improved. The website states “The most efficient way to book is through our website. You can also book by calling 719-657-1134 during business hours or 719-469-2500 after hours.”
Since they provided a number, we decided to call to make our reservation. We were quickly informed by a very bothered female who answered the phone that reservations are only made through the website. Okay. So we tried booking through the website and subsequently, their system jammed up with our reservation hanging in the wind. At this time, we had no confirmation page pop up. We were not sure if our cc had been charged. We tried going back in to book again and the particular house that we wanted was now not available. So, here we go again and call back. We were told that the owner would need to call us back. The owner did call back and was very nice. She did apologize for the trouble.
The home was nicely decorated with a mix of rustic and modern that we appreciated! The bathroom sink and fixture were upgraded and modern. The sink was a little too narrow for my liking as I like to wash my face over a sink. Most of the water ended up on the floor instead of in the sink. Hence my getting used to the “tiny” quarters. The shower was a small space but adequate to get the job done. The hot water runs out quickly so shaving legs and arms, shampooing and conditioning hair, and bathing is tough to get done before the hot water runs out. Every shower ended with cold water! Another adjustment to deal with! We did need more wash cloths than what was allotted to us. We don’t mind reusing towels, but like to use fresh wash cloths. Yes, we could have washed them in the sink, but we were on vacation and did not have the time to do this. The website states “ For those guests staying at least 7 days, we will provide fresh linens upon request.” So if you want fresh linens, bring your own. My husband did ask for fresh towels at the bistro and they seemed a little bothered by the request. We waited around the bistro for the fresh linens but never received them. We decided to go back to our tiny house and found the fresh towels inside. Only towels and no wash cloths or hand towels. There was a number on the information sheet to call for anything but we decided to ask the staff at the bistro. If they would have told us to call the number given, we would have done so. We just wanted to ask a body first before we called a number. Point proven since we only received towels and not wash clothes. Had they given us the towels in person we could have asked for wash cloths then. Upon discovering the towels in our tiny home, we immediately walked back over to the bistro to ask about the cloths. We never received them and was forced to use hand towels for wash cloths.
If you pull out the bed from the couch, it must be stowed away immediately before getting ready in the mornings. There is zero room to walk around it.
The loft area bedroom is only crawl space, no standing, just crawling on your knees and bruising them. The ladder to the loft is steep but adequate. Coming down the ladder from the loft is a little tricky. I had to start the descent down the stairs facing forward since there is no room to stand. Then, in mid descent, you have to try and turn around to face the ladder in order to grab hold of the sides to safely get down.
We had three mid size suitcases, a backpack, a mid size bag, and hanging clothes. The only place to store them was in the kitchen area since we used the pull down bed at night. We finally figured out to put one of the suitcases in the loft area at the foot of the mattress. Getting dressed in the loft meant lying down on the bed or squatting.
There was a space in the corner near the couch to hang up clothes.
The kitchen sink was tiny but deep. It was a little challenging to wash larger things like a skillet. Again, lots of water ends up on the floor and around the sink area. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, even s&p and some seasonings. There was a single cooktop that was a challenge to turn on that we had never seen anything like it before.
There was also a wall mounted heater that was challenging to operate as well. We did use it but never got the temp regulated.
Don’t leave you outside porch light on at night because when you open the door, every bug in sight will enter the home with you and there is no way to remove them without spending your entire night chasing them and smashing them.
This was just our experience in a tiny home. We appreciated the chance to experience tiny living that we quickly figured out is not for us. The home was very clean, air tight no holes, had modern touches, and felt very homey.
We would stay here again if passing through even with the challenges since we would be better prepared. It was very clean and homey! We did not use any of the outside area. We did visit the cute, rustic bistro on property. Very convenient!
A star off for the lack of linens and the lack of handling the situation. Another star would have been off but owner’s attitude made up for the bothered female and made our reservation right.

Thank you very much for this valuable feedback! We are new, just opening this June. Feedback like yours will help make us better for the next guest. Yes I am realizing that our coffee bistro is just too busy to be the contact for the tiny home lodging and we are making changes that will hopefully prevent another disjointed experience like you had. When you requested the extra linens I looked into it and did discover some gaps in our housekeeping service as the linens for your tiny home were in another unit! As for the rude bistro employee you encountered, I can't apologize enough for this. Above all else we strive to be kind and provide exceptional service. This is also being addressed. We are so sorry it wasn't a perfect stay but as I said we will get better with every guest! If you do ever decide to visit us again please reach out to me for a lodging discount and hopefully we can make it up to you!
