Dear guest,
I’m deeply sorry to read that your perception of the house differs from the one that your husband wrote a few days ago.
Sincerely, it is the first time that happens something like this with a guest and I would have appreciatte should you have called or send me a whatsapp or message during your stay, telling me whatever the problem was, and I would have been more than happy to solve any trouble.
I’ve taken into account your suggestions and we’re already solving those in our hand, like for example, get rid of the bath towels with tiny spots of bleaching. We always provide our guest with freshly-cleaned sheets, towels, etc. so, in our aim to provide the cleanest towels and linens, some tiny bleaching spots can appear, especially in those of dark colours or print. Nonetheless, as I said, we are not using them anymore, not because they were dirty or anything like that, but because they could seem old though they aren’t.
However, there are other kind of affirmations that I must clarify as long as they are not true:
• Regarding the most important topic of the cleaning of the house: Every 15 days and always just before and after the arrival and departure of the guests, the house is cleaned upside down by professionals.
Casaina is a country house, surrounded by lawn and little animals such as bunnies, blackbirds, goldfinches, moles, owls, sparrows, hens, cats, dogs and obviously harmless and industrious little long-legged spiders. Anyone who lives in the country knows that their webs can appear just in minutes before cleaning. But this does not imply at all that the house has not been cleaned. Though as said, I’ve taken into account your comments, and thus we have recently bought an electronic device which promises to keep at bay any insect or spider, to try to minimize their presence.
• As for the cost: Your family, composed by 5 people and 1 pet, stayed in the house at the rate of 24 €/person/day (tax included), in a house for your own with 5 bedrooms, 6 beds and 2100 metres of private garden. There are simply no 5 star hotels on which your family could have stayed for that price.
• Regarding the kitchen supplies: I’m very surprised to read this part of your review, for your family was the first to use the brand new pots and pans, they were even in their original package so you can see they were new. The property in which you stayed is my house, so I let it fully equipped as I use it, with all types of supplies, having of course some newest than others. Casaina has a maximum occupancy of 10 people, and everyone has praised until the moment the fact that they have plenty of kitchen supplies to prepare meals for everyone without having to clean the pans or pots or even the dishes. The same happens with the knives, you can find from butter knives to big ones for the barbeque and even with the scissors, there are 3 different pairs. Of course, when you’re not using them all, it’s at your choice to use the newest (as you did) or not.
• Toilet paper: We left a full package of 6 rolls in the house for your 9-days stay, so there was complimentary toilet paper, as well as shampoo, bath gel, hair conditioner, kitchen paper, paper towels, soap and fabric softener for the washing machine, etc. In any case, the property rental is self-service, which means that food, drinks, or any extra things the guests may need during their stay, they must buy them at their best convenience.
I hope this clarifies any query and once again, I’m deeply sorry you wouldn’t have get in touch with me during your stay so I could have solved any petition you should have had.
