We regret to hear that you were unaware the facility fee and local taxes. When reservations are not made directly with us there are a few charges that other traveling agencies might fail to communicate and explain. Our page is very clear about these fees and we always like to advise our guests to carefully revise all the costs details at the time of the booking in order to avoid unexpected expenses. These fees are to be paid at the hotel, unless otherwise stated during reservation.
Regarding your comments about the facility fee, we take this opportunity to remind our guests that as most hotels in NYC we charge a mandatory facility fee. This is a hotel tax that includes a range of on-site and off-site amenities designed to perk up your trip, including many discounted local attractions, shows, museums, restaurants, stores and tours. We sincerely hope you took advantage of these discounts.
We strongly encourage you to follow up with your travel agency as it seems they did not fully explain all the costs of your trip.
