Meagan Known for its giant sequoia trees, like the General Sherman tree, which is the largest tree on earth. The majority of this park is roadless wilderness, but there is plenty of hiking, camping, fishing, and backpacking to be done in the accessible areas.

Meagan Zion might have the most interesting geography of any national park with its mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons, and natural arches. All these diverse landscapes make it home to an even more diverse set of inhabitants, including birds, mammals, and reptiles. Come here for horseback riding, hiking, backcountry camping, or rock climbing if you want to catch some real thrills.

Meagan Crater Lake was formed by Mount Mazama, which is a now-collapsed volcano. This magnificent natural wonder is 1,949-feet deep at its deepest point, and all the blue-hued water is only replenished by snow or rain. To take in the full panorama, drive along the scenic Rim Road or hike on one of the park's many trails, including the famous Mount Scott.

Meagan Want to hike over the tallest sand dunes in American (some which stretch upwards of 700-feet tall)? Well here you can, but be warned — the sand can reach temperatures up to 150ºF in the summer. You can also rent equipment for two of the park's other most popular activities, sandboarding or sandsledding, right outside the park entrance.
