Unkempt condition of this “ unit” Dangerous street decline to maneuver Must be in the best physical shape to be able to walk up and down this street Filthy kitchen utensils Dirty mop and bucket left to greet us in kitchen Dried food on dishes Soap dispensers 1/4 filled and mixed with water Owner would not meet us to check us in We did NOT sign her guest registry Dated and uncomfortable furniture Rusty baking pan Hot water kettle heating element falling off particles No area guide book No area restaurant menus( was told by owner that other guests steal them so she will not replace ( nice right) Many mosquitoes at night while trying to sleep Very uncomfortable bed We left after trying to reason with owner This “ unit “ does not represent the pictures and write up on internet Owner would not supply pool towels No lounge chairs at pool - that’s right NONE We left and stayed at VILLAGE MARINERS just around the point in La Herradura and was able to salvage our holiday. Now this place was spotless and clean !! Extreme ends of the spectrum!! USE CAUTION !!!

We were looking to get away to the coast, somewhere calmer but still with all of the amenities (restaurants etc) that we would need. La Aldea was set in an exclusive development overlooking the sea. The drive to the apartment was a few minutes from the main beach in La Herradura but this meant that the setting was tranquil and quiet and our 15 minute walk down and back in the evening was completely manageable and welcome with the cooler evening air. All of the surrounding properties were the same beautiful whitewash,clearly carefully looked after we felt very comfortable. The views from the balcony were outstanding - if you like a sea view like me - you'll love this. The apartment was a good size with a new bathroom and had everything you could need. It was nice to have the kitchen separate from the lounge and eating on the terrace set, on the balcony, over looking the view, was priceless. There is a pool within a minutes walk from the house. This is shared between a few properties but we were the only ones around it during our stay which felt very exclusive! I would recommend heading down to the marina for breakfast - David's cafe is a beautiful setting if you like watching luxurious yachts come into the marina. The beach bar at the marina beach was good and the food fresh, equally in the evening heading to the bamboo bar on the main promenade in La Herradura will furnish you with pretty night time views and frozen cocktails!
