This is a lovely property, hacienda style, with a central open courtyard partly shaded with a lime tree, surrounded by 5 bedrooms, a kitchen and TV room. Hugo, the owner, was a wonderful host. He was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. At 7,000 feet up in the mountains the evenings were chilly (even in July!) so we enjoyed a small fire in the fire grate provided each evening. Plus others in our group, being from La Paz, Mexico, made fires in their rooms each night (each room has a fire place). Even though this was NOT the cold season Hugo responded to our need for more fire wood immediately. Great location, quiet (except for note below) and within walking distance to town plaza/Zocalo. Great place to stay while visiting San Cristobal de las Casas!
Note there are loud fireworks during summer season that are almost constant day and night that sound like gun shots.
