We were greeted nicely by Ann the owner who showed us around and gave us information on how to use everything.The cottage is really well laid out and is beautifully furnished and very comfortable.The large TV with SKY and NETFLIX is great and the leather sofa and large bed are very comfortable indeed.The kitchen has everything you need including a microwave,dishwasher and washing machine. This cottage is really superb and relaxing and we wished we could have stayed longer.The friendly owners Ann and Paul are only next door and will help you with any enquiries you have.A big thank you to you both and especially for the milk,tea,coffee,sugar,eggs,bacon,beans and bread that you laid on for us on arrival.

Paul met us on our arrival at Silvergrove. He showed us around and handed over the keys. Ann popped in to say 'Hello' - and she asked us if we needed anything - when she returned home later in the day. Various breakfast items had been provided for us in the fridge (kindly tailored to our needs as we had previous advised that we did not eat any meat or poultry). Paul and Ann's home is located directly next door therefore they are always on hand should guests need anything or require any information. The apartment is modern, comfortable and spacious - and it offers everything anyone could possibly need for a short - or longer - stay. Everything has been carefully thought out - with lots of lovely little touches that make such a difference. As the weather was mostly sunny and warm throughout our 8 night stay, we enjoyed the little private garden to the rear. A parking space is provided for guests directly outside the apartment. Silvergrove is in a perfect, quiet location - within a 15 minute walk of the pubs and restaurants in the village. We enjoyed our meals at The Bull On The Green and at Newick Tandoori. Be sure to take a torch after dark as there are no street lights on the way back. The apartment is ideally situated for visiting places such as the historic town of Lewes and the lively coastal town of Brighton. We also visited Sheffield Park & Gardens and The Bluebell Railway, Wakehurst Place and the Butterfly Gardens at Middleton Common Farm. Travelling further afield, places such as The British Wildlife Centre, Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre and Woods Mill are great places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A big 'thank you' to Ann and Paul for making us feel so welcome.

We needed a comfortable place to make a change from our four walls and we found it here. We are very wary about shops and crowded places due to COVID -19 so brought all our food with us and cooked in with the help or a large hob, oven and fridge freezer and all the cooking utensils you could need. We were off to a good start with the very generous welcome pack Ann left for us. The bed was super comfortable and the walk-in shower a delight. There is a nice sunny patio at the back and a big sofa in front of an enormous telly with Netflix and Sky so we binged on films in the evening after reading some of the wide selection of books in the property. We did get out some of the time! Sheffield Park was great and only 10 mins away, then the lovely gardens at Borde Hill and a nice walk along the Ouse river. In different times we would have been in the attractive looking pubs in Newick and wandered the streets of Lewis - maybe next time?

We were given a warm welcome by Anne, who had a generous variety of food and drinks which saved a trip into town. Newick village is about 10 minute walk away and there are open walkways across nearby common fields and woodlands. For more information, read the accurate "overview" to see why this is such an excellent place to stay. There is a courtyard at the rear and parking at the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The owners are excellent hosts. Two recommended one day drives which we did are: 1. Brighton (brilliant, lots of fun) and Seaford (amazing chalk cliffs and coastline) 2. Lewes (go through the Castle and Anne of Cleves Tudor House)

Silvergrove was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Ann was welcoming and helpful but didn't intrude in the slightest. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Silvergrove is a perfect place to either have a getaway or to visit beautiful Sussex. Newick is a wonderful Sussex village. Great sleeping accommodations and super lounge and kitchenette. Ann is the epitome of a perfect hostess and Paul is ever helpful with his know,edge of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this cottage.,

Absolutely lovely host and made us feel very welcome. We had our own space but knew that Ann and Paul were there if we needed anything. The accommodation was beautiful and really well thought out; we felt very at home throughout out stay and didn't want to leave the next day! We Would highly recommend and will definitely stay next time we are in the area!

We stayed at Silvergrove for 3 nights, and it was beautiful. The holiday home has been done to a very high standard, it is extremely light and airy in the kitchen/lounge area and the bedroom. We arrived to find that Ann had left some goodies in the fridge, as well as tea/coffee/sugar and everyday condiments, which of course was a very pleasant surprise. Ann was the perfect host, she was beyond helpful and very friendly and not intrusive in the slightest. Silvergrove is so beautifully decorated & furnished with a lovely patio/terrace; as well as being in a peaceful yet indescribably beautiful area, (a massive change from busy London that's for sure!) and we settled right in and felt so comfortable in this little home for a few nights, it truly felt like home. I would highly recommend staying at Silvergrove, I would also recommend taking a car as it would make it easier to get to & from places, especially if you want to visit local amenities, - there are brochures of places to visit provided by Ann at Silvergrove, however, I can also say that walking around the area is extremely relaxing, especially to breathe in some almost-countryside fresh air. Thank you Ann for being an incredible host and making our stay as comfortable as it was. Hopefully will be back to visit again soon :)

Silvergrove had everything we needed for our one week stay. Good position close to National Trust properties and plenty of good food pubs. Ann was friendly and helpful without being intrusive, the perfect host. The welcome pack was much appreciated and saved us from shopping after a long haul flight.
