We really enjoyed our stay at the farm . Coming from South West London we enjoyed the peaceful setting . The farm is so clean and the animals are cared for so well and seem happy . The Lodge itself is homely and spacious . The patio area is lovely to watch the alpacas in the sun . We did feel a bit squashed up in the bench being three of us we informed Chris who happily gave us two comfortable chairs to use during the holiday only a suggestion but for the summer the use of a sun bed lounger would be perfect . The shower was lovely in temperature but only thing was even though they have anti slip on the floor I felt it was slippy and maybe someone less able or older may have issues with it . It could be easily remedied with a cheap anti slip bath Matt . Other then this we enjoyed are stay and even though the owners are extremely busy being a working farm they took time to chat with us about the farm and also Vicki kindly opened the shop for us after the walks which I bort a beautiful handmade scarf . The alpacas are beautiful and clean and great for taking photos . The owners really care for there animals . The area is off the beaten track but things are within reach . We loved visiting fletching and the Griffin Inn was very quirky with all different ornaments etc . We really enjoyed denikar farm just up the road for food . They have a good butchers and other suppliers such as eggs milk bread cheese fruit . The sausages were excellent and we cooked them with pasta and some apples with a chilli tomato sauce . Denikar farm also has a cafe restaurant the fish and chips were excellent . If you want a big shop then uckfield is about ten min drive . We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back . This alpaca always came to say hello to us in the morning I forgot to ask Vicki the name . Would be interested to know his name he was a very curious chap always bort a smile to our faces ! What a great time we all had at Spring Farm Alpacas in the lovely Sussex countryside and pretty village of Fletching. The lodge was comfortable, well equipped and spacious and to be able to sit and see the alpacas, and their babies, just outside the window was amazing. It was also fascinating to watch the staff who took such a pride in their work. We missed those gorgeous alpacas as soon as we left! Vicki, Chris and staff were friendly and helpful and clearly absolutely love their animals. Our alpaca walk with “Rhubarb” was a wonderful experience with so many interesting facts along the way. During our stay we also visited Sheffield Park Gardens, Lewes Castle, Ashdown Forest, Newhaven Fort and walked the coastal path to Peacehaven. The day we left we enjoyed great views from Beachy Head. We were lucky to have some nice weather so we would return each day to the tranquil surroundings of the farm and enjoy a meal outside at the picnic table. My adult son joined us for this trip and used the sofa bed. We all had enough room and loved waking up to the sound of birds and wondering which alpaca may be outside our window! “ Superman” enjoyed watching us as much as the other way around I think! Would definitely recommend this holiday let. We were made to feel very welcome. It was just what we all needed. Thank you.

Tucked away in the Sussex countryside - a very user friendly lodge. Within easy reach of the Sussex coast and with more than enough castles, houses and gardens to visit. We more than covered our National Trust subscriptions. Would definitely consider another visit.

An excellent holiday let, could not have wished for anything better. Very well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. Chris and Vicki made us very welcome and their passion for wildlife and the alpacas is amazing. They were able to accommodate us on a walk during our stay which was a wonderful experience and a must do it you are lucky enough to stay here. The lodge is well located for visiting the innumerable attractions of Sussex. A trip to Birling gap is a must! We look forward to a return visit.

Stayed at the wonderful alpaca farm for three weeks while waiting for our house to complete, it was a home away from home, everything was perfect, beautiful well equipped and comfortable accommodation, a little gem in the English countryside, Chris and Vicki were great hosts, we will definitely be going back to walk with the alpacas

This self catering lodge is comfortable, well furnished and equipped with all you need for enjoying life in the countryside. It is like a luxury serviced apartment but in the pleasure of a country bungalow. I arrived in cold weather and the heating worked very well. It is easily controlled for your personal comfort. The proximity to the alpacas at the corner of a field means you wake up and enjoy their company outside every morning at breakfast. It is peaceful and immensely rewarding. Chris and Vicki are wonderful and caring people who make you feel welcome and who willingly share knowledge and time despite their very busy routines. Their thorough engagement with their animals as well as with the humans around them facilitate a deep harmony that is unique, truly special and most enjoyable. This experience has been marvellous and I will definitely return.

Beautiful, clean, modern, well equipped accommodation, amongst the best we have ever stayed in. (and we've stayed in literally hundreds of places) Our 3 year old grandson loved meeting the alpacas. Our hosts were very warm, knowledgeable and welcoming. Nearby Peacock Inn serves great food. The Lodge is well positioned for Uckfield and its amenities. Brighton and Lewes are an easy drive away. Blue Bell Railway and Sheffield Park are well worth a visit too. A perfect stay in a perfect location.Can't wait to see the alpacas again, such characters.

We spent an excellent week at the Lodge on Spring Farm. The Lodge is clean, modern and very well equipped, all the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It is lovely to be able to look out of the windows and watch the alpacas and llamas in their fields. We enjoyed a cup of tea outside on the bench, watching the alpacas in the sunshine – even in October. We had a great time finding out about the alpacas, who are obviously happy and very well looked after. Vicki and Chris made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information about the lodge and local area. The Lodge is in a quiet location, but there is lots to do only a short distance from the farm and shops, pubs etc are only a few minutes’ drive away. Can’t think of anything negative to say, it was a perfect week! We hope to come and stay again.

We stayed here for a week. Vicki and Chris were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was well equipped (nice bathroom, bedroom, kitchen area etc) but a clothes horse for drying clothes would have been greatly appreciated (!) The big window in the sitting room doesn't open, as it looks out over the Alpacas' field - so it did get very hot in there. Other than that, we really liked our stay there, and we all enjoyed the novelty of seeing the Alpacas - it made for a memorable stay.
