The property was perfect for our stay!
With every bedroom having it's own exterior entry and full bath, each couple could start each day at their own pace. Everyone had their own privacy.
We ended each of our days playing group card games in the main house.
The 15 minute drive into town and the beaches was not a big deal.
Dealing with Michel,the owner, prior to our stay was smooth and the documentation shared on the house and region was outstanding.
Kenny and Mili, the Caretakers onsite, were fantastic!
We had a flat tire on our rental car one night while leaving to go into town for dinner. Kenny rescued us, changed the tire and loaded the flat into his truck and we were quickly back in route. The next morning before any of us woke, Kenny drove the fllat into town and had it repaired. He brought it back to the house and swapped the spare for the repaired wheel/tire again to get us back to normal.
They are invisble when not needed and always appeared when we needed assistance with things...
Costa Rica is a definite repeat place for all of us, and Hacienda Valle Solo a place we would rebook for sure!

The Hacienda Valle Solo is gorgeous and private. Plenty of space for our entire party of 6 and still room for more! The views are spectacular, the Villa is well appointed with everything you need and the Caretakwrs Milli and Kenny are lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend. You will need a car if you plan to go into town or on adventures, however, you could just stay in the secluded house for a very relaxing holiday.

Our family of 7 absolutely loved staying here. We did pair up kids so that our littles were with older siblings due to the separate entrances but I was never worried not being attached via hallways and would stay again. It's a perfect set up for adults too as everyone would have their own "villa" if you will. The porch was the best place to rock and just look at the beautiful view. We fell in love with the caretakers they were so friendly and helpful. Peace of mind having them there too! Thank you for sharing your amazing home, our family had a lovely vacation.

Hacienda Valle Solo is a beautiful place! My family was all very comfortable with four separate bedrooms. The owner was very helpful and the caretakers were very kind and trustworthy. The entire property is gorgeous. We loved exploring Costa Rica during the day and coming back to Hacienda Valle Solo in the evenings. The rancho, pool area and the porch were our favorite places to gather! Absolutely stunning place that we hope to visit again!!!

This place is all that & then some. The pictures don’t really do it justice. There were seven of us & we had plenty of room with four bedrooms and five baths. The location is great and it’s close to Tamarindo and not too far from other places to explore. I would suggest taking one of the many tours like diamanté and go to the animal sanctuary. I was highly impressed. Unfortunately we got rain every day for the most part but when it’s 85 and raining you kind of forget. We utilized the pool and the patio the most. The caretakers Millie and Kenny are extremely helpful. I was always the first one up and was serenaded by the howler monkeys every single morning. You can’t go wrong with this place. It’s Pura Vida!!

We spent one week in Tamarindo and couldn’t have wished for a nicer getaway. The house is situated on a hill with views and sounds of nature. The porch and bbq and pool are ideal for spending lazy days at home. There are so many activities close by. We’re just sorry that we couldn’t stay longer. Hoping to return in the future.

Staying here was simply the best family vacation we've ever had. If you want night life, partying, and craziness......this IS NOT the place for you! We wanted peace and quiet with breathtaking views and sunsets. We wanted to relax in the pool and cook great meals and just enjoy being with each other away from the pace of life. We went to bed most nights shortly after viewing one of the best sunsets I've ever seen and rose in the morning to watch the sunrise with fresh coffee. The days were quiet, the sun was hot, and everything was taken care of. There are two amazing people (Kenny and Milli) that take care of the huge plot of land and live in the apartment behind the house. They are the sweetest couple and had the absolute perfect blend of making sure our stay was great whilst allowing us to relax in privacy.
The local area has great supermarkets to cook at home and several beaches within a short drive. Our routine was to wake up with coffee, go to the beach until around noon. Head back to the place for lunch, lounge in the pool until dinner. Cook dinner and go to bed. Again this is the perfect quiet family recharge location. We did have a few excursions to zip lining and horse riding adventures....it seems all of those type of adventures are around a 2 hour drive due to slow and sometimes rough roads.
We are planning to return next year!

Went here with my mother and my two brothers. The property is located on a hill in Villarreal facing west. Staying there was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it. Close to multiple different beaches and easy access to Tamarindo. You will need a car to stay here for sure. Kenny and Mili take great care of the property and will help with anything you need.
