We really enjoyed our stay in this nice cottage. For four people the house is a bit small. Four people can sleep well, but the kitchen and the livingroom is too small for everyone. The house is very well equipped and very well located.

Rowan cottage is a lovely little cottage with all amenities you could require and beautifully renovated and clean. It sleeps 4 but the lounge is not large and with, say, 4 adults it might be a bit cramped. We were just a couple so it was ideal. We found the cottage a bit cool, even on the sunny days, but the electric heaters were efficient and economic to use. The cottage is on the main road but traffic noise overnight was minimal and crossing to the parking area and garden area was fine with the usual care you would take crossing any road. Salen is in a terific spot for touring the island and I would recommend the coffee shop. Also the Salen hotel does nice, if plainish, bar meals. Plenty of wildlife on Mull if you are lucky enough to see it and some excellent walking to be done too. Maps and walking book in cottage were very handy.

Was here for two weeks. Found the cottage well equipped and clean. We were both comfy and casy, even though the weather for the time of year was wetter than usual. It is well placed to travel in all directions, Rowan cottage maybe as squeeze for four adults. The village has a pub/hotel, well stocked village shop/P.O, garage, and excellant restaurant. The owner was very helpful and we would love to come again.

A lovely clean cottage which as a couple suited all our needs. Very well equiped and nice touch of welcome tray. Good sized kitchen with dining table and cosy lounge. Did not get chance to use garden area due to wet weather. Mull is a beautiful island and this cottage proved to be in a good location to visit its lovely scenery.

Well equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms one double one twin but both have low ceilings. Central heating provided by open fire so coal etc are needed. Once lit the fire does heat the cottage adequately. Only other form of heating are electric radiators. Electricity paid for by coin meter. There is no bathroom, but a very small shower room with toilet and small vanity sink, accessed through a short, very low passage under the stairs. The lounge is a cosy room. Parking opposite the cottage could do with the kerb being lowered, but there is a well equipped garden beyond ideal for BBQ's in the Summer months.
