My parents and I rent a cabin once a year to spend a few days together, and we all agreed that Doug’s place was certainly the best we’ve stayed in. First, the views. You can’t beat the views. We typically rent a place in the mountains with wooded views but this time took a chance in the valley – and we’re so glad we did. The back porch spans the length of house with two patio sets to choose from so there are plenty of viewing options from the main level. There’s also a patio downstairs with chairs and a firepit in the backyard with views too. Because of all the windows, you even have views from the living room, dining room, the upstairs loft, and the main floor bedroom. Second, the house is extremely clean and well kept, the kitchen and bathrooms are VERY well stocked, and the living room and bedrooms are all very comfortable. There’s even a separate heating/AC unit upstairs. (This was a nice surprise because I often take the loft and it’s hard to regulate the temperature from the main level.) Third, I have a pup so having the backyard was a lifesaver – it’s well secured and was definitely large enough for my cattle dog to get her zoomies out. We also had the pleasure to meet Doug and he provided some recommendations on food and breweries to check out in the area. I really cannot say enough good things about Doug’s place. We had a nice relaxing time and will certainly be back!
